Be aware that Hotmail and Yahoo are reportedly blockign gmail invites. Well to be fair yahoo puts them in the bulk mail folder, but hotmail is supposed to be blocking them outright.

smiley - erm

I got an invite from GD into a yahoo account and not the bulk mail folder - however that could explain why they did not invite me in the first place!!!

It also interested me to note that yahoo mail are claiming loads of improvements this week too and it certainly has a new look and feel ...

very interesting smiley - smiley

Seems it all has to do with spam settings... Some things are getting bounced and some are fine.

I am at the moment dry, but will post if I get any more invitations.

We've just had a convo about that site on another BB and one of the responses seemed fairly scathing!

"Problem 4 isn't really a problem as they are only adverts.
Problem 3 is based on an IF and couldn't any email company be doing the same?
Problem 1 doesn't every ISP or email company have to keep copies of emails for at least a year anyway even if deleted. (i think i have read this but may be wrong). Also if law enforcement wants a look wouldnt they just get a warrent/subpoena anyway so your email is just as 'private'?
Problem 2 i guess can happen anywhere.

The site doesn't actually back up anything it says and to me seems more based on situations where ' If Google did this' then it would happen. On their thing about adverts, how would adwords know what the story is about to tailor the ads. People who sign up know its based on keywords and nowhere did it say the website owners themselves were annoyed at the adverts."

So all in all most people aren't too worried about it.
