I had a car like that once, but never a piano
Maybe you should ask him if the sounds he heard were rhythmic and in sync with his piano playing. If so he really should consult a professional. Either a musician or a psychiatrist.
Or a psychiatrist who can play the piano.
Seriously though, did R convince them there was nobody home at your place when this happened? If so he must now start questioning his perceptions and take some sort of action.

I guess he had no choice but to believe we were all out. Personally, he can suffer all he wants, as long as he stops bothering us. I think he is delusional, actually.

He does indeed sound like he is delusional. But on the other hand he does not sound like he is dangerous. Of course that's easy for me to say, but I wouldn't be too worried. I would inform the police though. They need to put an end to this harassment.

AND AGAIN!!! He was just here! I had been out to the grocery store, R was dozing on the sofa, and Martin was taking in laundry from the garden.
And once again, when he was playing the piano, there was stomping on the floors. So he came to complain.
This time I was pretty angry. There was no noise from us.
We even sent son over to his house, to play the piano loudly, and he finally agreed that no, we cannot possibly be disturbed by it.
He still insists that something makes loud noises, and it makes me so angry that he claims we did it when in two cases we all were out of the house. Like in China, or 2 hours drive away, at work, and in school.

I feel your frustration - almost physically
Does he still think you are making noises - and that they are meant to disturb him?

Sorry, I read your latest post again and notice that he indeed still thinks you are harassing him. Shows how unbelievable this situation is.
Report him to the police again, I say.
Every. Single. Time. He. Complains.
Only thing that works from now on, I'm afraid

Agreed. The police are aware the situation exists, keep them informed of the on going aspect of it.
Also, don't antagonise him yourself if you can help it. Quiet people can just flip and become aggressive.
Report to the police, every single time.

Made the report today.
Very supporting officer took the report. She also said to keep reporting each incident like this.

It's good to know you've got her on your side.
(The thought of Milla going to the police conjures up various TV versions of the police - sorry polis - station in the Wallander programmes.)

Bwaha! It was mostly passport queue. Oddly, there were three babies getting their passports at the same time.

And yet again.
I was walking home through the neighborhood, he followed me.
At my mailbox he opened conversation, complaining that I had borrowed the shared ladder for too long. I said we had personal reasons why it had taken so long.
And then once again he accuses me of banging the walls when he plays. I said you have heard how little we hear your piano - but oh no, we put our ears to the wall to listen, and bang the walls.
And of course we hear, he says, he could hear it himself.
I started the shouting - stop lying about me! and he kept going, "YOU STARTED SHOUTING". and shouting that he's not afraid of me. Well, I'd hope so, you are 2 m tall man and I am 1.6 m woman. And "I know what kind of person you are!" and all other sorts of shit.
So I called the police again, and they are coming, again. I'm waiting for them now.

And once more, he rang the door, with a note in his hand. I told him, again through the window, Forget it, I'm not opening for you.
I'm going to call the police again.

Sit tight and don't let him get away with threatening you, gestures with his fist and shouting put you in fear of personal and unlawful harm and the police should cart this idiot away!

They ( he police) have a duty of care to protect your safety and quality of life, ask them for an explanation of how they plan to keep this from happening again. Get a senior officers contact details if you can.

I called again, the police haven't forgotten me, but had some other thing to attend to.
This seriously sucks. Trying not to panic.

Please stop responding to him. Deal with the situation through the police.
