There is an old story that a lady rang the police reporting an abusive neighbour, the police sympathised but all patrols were busy, she was on their list. An hour later the same thing. And again and again, sorry but all patrols are tied up.

She then rings and says not to bother calling, she's shot the guy so doesn't feel threatened anymore. Guess what the police arrived within three minutes of that call!

Whether or not he is a neighbour should not have any sway in how they protect your safety and well being. I hope this gets sorted for you soon.

I had an abusive neighbour years ago, but I was warned by the Housing Officer not to contact the police because he came from a family of violent criminals. That felt so comforting considering I had a baby in the flat. It still took over another two years before they moved me.

I hope you cab get a much more positive response and soon.

Dad went out for a smoke, and the neighbour came out to talk to him. At first, seemed like he wanted to apologise, but then turned to complaints about me.
And how easy my son and R are to talk to, but I am such a problem. (Of course the fact that R, me and my son say the exact same things doesn't matter) And he felt it fine to say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. But when dad said you need to get help, dad had no cause to say such a thing, because they never had talked before... (but yeah HE can judge that dad and I are alike) Called the police again, there's been a traffic accident and they are understaffed, but I'm next in line. Haha. I guess they have One Single Patrol on duty. Too bad for me.
