Speaking of scorpions, there's a huge movie studio near London. They were filming a desert scene for "Prince of persia," and they imported some scorpions for the scene. I hear that some of the scorpions escaped.

They must have got onto the set of Merlin. I saw some there.

Scorpions are almost as bad as spiders.

The bigger ones are probably worse.

I don't want to spend time with either. I stepped on a scorpion once. That is something I never want to repeat.

Creepy crawlies in general are to be avoided. I'm deathly allergic to spider venom. I'll walk a country mile to avoid a spider.

I'm pretty sure that most spiders would try to get out of your way if you asked them nicely.

I'd rather hit them with a shoe than talk to them.

We've had wasps, which are way more evil. One of them stung me when I sat on it. Ow.

Hypatia, I'm pretty sure that most of the spiders in your area have figured out that you don't want to see them. The well-informed ones are hiding as we speak.

Wasp stings are nasty, Baggers.

Paul, I realize I'm paranoid about spiders, but I also know a bite from one, even a non-poisonous one, could kill me.

I would guess, then, that your library is the cleanest place in the state. No spiders allowed.
