Sorry, it's in good condition because we never used it. We just dislike leather sofas so decided that would save up and replace it.

I've always wanted a leather sofa. I did have a vinyl loveseat many moons ago.
Getting new furniture is always fun. Enjoy. I'm saving up for a new roof and also to repave my driveway. So my furniture purchases will have to wait.

So, what I'm hearing is that you have trouble getting *to* your house, and there's not much to sit/lie on when you finally can get into it, but you're determined not to let the rain leak on you when you're trying (not very successfully) to get comfortable. Does it get better than this?

It's not quite that grim, Paul. I have too much furniture for the size of my house. It's just old and I'd like a change. But yes, the roof does leak in a couple of spots. I may be able to install new flashing and stop it. Worth a try, but I'm not hopeful. And I can still get down the driveway, but it is pretty rugh due to tree roots pushing up the blacktop and cracking it. The joys of home ownership. Oh! And the storm glass in my picture window has a crack. That is a very large piece of glass to replace.

The Tate Modern is not a favorite of mine. I think I enjoyed it the least of any gallery/museum I visited in London.

I think it's bad enough when the neighbors mutter about your house, without the windows themselves making nasty cracks.

My housekeeping standards are not exactly high. Nevertheless, I try to look on the bright side. I have a recurring dream in which my living room floor has gone so long with a sweeping that grass and flowers have started to grow in the dirt that has accumulated there. It's a beautiful feeling to get up in the morning and wander barefoot on the floor.

Sorry, that should have been "gone without a sweeping." I do have a broom or two, but no vacuums, except the one between my ears.

Hooray for the Internet!
Does it feel like home yet?

Bagpuss Posted Oct 11, 2009
Yes. I moved most of the stuff round by hand.
I'm just realising that I spent most of the time since we got t'internet not going on it. I'm even further behind in the Atelier now. Part of the reason for this is that wifi let me get the Wii on line and I got Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past on Virtual Console.

Ah, so it is; I remember the conversation about shopping trollies.
I'm still failing to complete Ocarina. One day I'll complete it. And that'll be a good five years after I first attempted it. Time flies, eh.

I'm facing a giant scorpion thing in the dark world and I can't work out how to injure it. I've diligently not looked at hints online so far and I hope I won't have to.
