I'm pretty sure there are videos of it.

Back to shopping trolleys - the one my dad tried it with had a thing that swung under the wheel. I guess a magnet holds it up until you pass through a field that de-activates it. Like with security tags.

Anyway, house is signed for. Can move stuff in on Friday. Now I have to try to think who needs the new address. How long does it take the DVLA to send you a new licence? Because I'm going to need it in about three weeks to hire a car for holiday.

That's even more useful.

smiley - huh If you do it by post you have to send the licence in, but if you do it online they trust you to destroy your own?

Gotta love it.

Mind you, I remember Acid being just as incredulous that a company would accept a print-off of an online bank statement. He could doctor it any way he wanted (although didn't, of course). Sometimes these things jsut aren't quite thought through.

You probably have to click a box that says "Yes, I have destroyed my old licence." Foolproof, just like the ones that say, "I am over 18," before you can access a brewery website.

Indeed. Much like any website, I guess. But with a driving license I'm a bit more concerned. Mind you, last time I renewed my passport they sent back the old one with the corner cut off, and that was all done by post.

Weird.

It says I need my passport, which is in one of the boxes in my room. I'll wait until I've moved.

Yes, must get round to telling the DVLA about the move.

Most of my books and games (board and computer), and about half the miscellaneous junk are across. I need to work on clothes and stuff, then I can actually sleep in the new house.

I did borrow a shopping trolley, but then I felt guilty and took it back, so I'm moving everything by hand.

I'm actually moved in now, but some stuff still needs to come across. Probably about half my stuff. I wonder where new housemate is; it'd be useful to have her moved in so we can work out what we still need to get.

Must pick up apples from the back garden. Some have started rotting. Unfortunately the compost bins are pretty full.
