Question for you all- why do a lot of people seem to think I'm gay?
Mrs Zen Posted Feb 8, 2004
It is interesting though? This human need to be part of a group, even if one is reacting against a larger group. I found the dress-conformity on The A-Z of Sex very noticable indeed.

It is also interesting that there is a need to differentiate between "men who have sex with men" and homosexuals. Which was a point made by the Al Pacino character in "Angels in America" last night.
Groups within groups.

An interesting side-branch to the issue at hand...
Or are you implying that Egon is of the - ahem - 'prison mentality'?

I find the idea that there is a certain look or style that is indicative of being gay, this simply seem to apply in Brighton.
The city has long had a tradition of being the place that older gay people move to after they tire of the frenetic pace of London. As a result it is quite common to see totally ordinary looking people wandering around town who you would never dream that they were gay - except for the fact that they happen to be holding hands with another totally ordinary person of the same sex.

I get hit on alot by gay men. I try to take the attitude that if I can't make it with the ladies, at least I have options !

How the heck can you say that someone's gay anyway? I mean, sans reference to the 'scene'?
I recall that a study once claimed gaydar was almost totally inaccurate... Perhaps it's a long term thing?

Hi Ben! I decided it was you from your name - it sounded like the sort of name you would have. And your posts, of course.
And GreyDesk, I'm from Kilmarnock, and I'm presently living between there, Blackpool and Coventry! Definitely not Ohio.

Um, I''ve never been great at geography, but as far as I'm aware Kilmarnock, Blackpool and Coventry could be comfortably described as "nowhere near each other". Now, do you care to explain yourself? (i think I know why Coventry already, if it has anything to do with a misnamed university)
