It's bloody frezin' out there And I don't mean that in any metaphorical or poetic sense of the word - it literally is freezing (current temperature at Camp Mabry is 30°/-1.1°) and there's a light drizzle falling. We could have a small ice accumulation in the morning
And 48 hours ago it was 80°F

Gorblimey, I almost had to turn the air conditioning on this afternoon - Camp Mabry 87°/30.6° (tied the record for the maximum temp on this date); ABIA 88/31.1 (beat their record by one degree F); 89/31.7 downtown; and 91/32.8 a few miles away at Mason
And it looks like we're going to do it all over again tomorrow, although a few degrees cooler
Apparently, March is typically the windiest month around these parts, and the second driest month of the year - kind of odd considering that April and May make up storm season and the wettest time of the year here. A normal March usually sees our first 90°F (32.2C) day of the year. The average high temp is 72/22.2, with an average low of 50/10.

I've just come home from work on the bus and been treated to the most spectacular lightning storm approaching from the southwest I managed to get home just as the rain started to fall and we had a very intense but brief downpour
Very warm today - upper 80s F (upper 20s/lower 30s C) and likely to stay that way throughout the weekend

Here we are having unseasonably cold weather, according to the weatherpeople on the telly.
There is snow in Scotland and Northern England and it's chilly here. It was sleeting when I got up
So unlike you lot, who seem to be doing it by the book, our weather's going all wrong !

Okay, I've succumbed - it was pushing 85° in this apartment.
Let the record show that in 2006, BH first turned on the air conditioning on March 11.

Oh, I always try to make it through at least April. Missed it last year by two weeks because I was 9 months pregnant and figured I was entitled to a little comfort.
Then the AC broke. That'll teach me.
Absolutely gorgeous today. Don't have exact figures as I'm currently quarantined away from news and weather sources (and I'd like to spend my few minutes of internet freedom here chatting with you instead of looking up all the wonderful weather I missed today). It's storming now, but still very warm. I think it was near 80 today.

Bright and sunny. A little on the cold side, but pleasant overall.
Apparently the rest of Britain is being battered by snow and ice today. Well at least that's what the TV news is banging on about

Sunny and humid today, but it got warm in the end. Fortunately all the tornadoes missed us last night, and we're bracing for round 2. Next line of storms due to hit in about three hours. Even more fortunately, the broelan manse is vacant this evening - we've all ended up in seperate accomodations (not an ideal situation, but some things just can't be avoided). So the house can be blown to matchsticks and at least I'll know everyone's safe. I'll sure miss the cats though.
Speaking of cats, how are Dewey and Flossie? I think I remembered to bring something for them... oh yes, here it is
Hey, BG! long time no see

Well, it's happened again. It's South by Southwest week, and the weather's taken a nosedive
It seems that almost every year during SXSW the weather gets bad. Not last year though - in 2005 the sun shone and it was pleasantly balmy This year however, we have at least a 30% chance of rain every day from now until Monday (by which time it'll all be over ), including a chance of severe storms tonight as a cold front passes through, and a 50% chance of showers and storms on Saturday. The temperatures are still going to be halfway decent though.
