My bits of string are also very dignified, but I suspect they would raise more than an eyebrow in your apartment complex, BH
My cousin has just moved into a unit (flat) in suburban Sydney - a tree-lined street with 2-up /2-down units along most of it. She put her washing on the balcony and had neighbours round within 24 hours requesting that she didn't 'lower the tone' Needless to say, she now does it for badness

Good for her
And now back to the weather (I think we've gone far enough with this topic drift )
It's chilly, and getting chillier! Currently cloudy and 55F/12.7C, and on its way down to just a few degrees above freezing And I have to go out to work at about 10.45pm Well, not exactly work - there's a bar meeting scheduled for 11pm tonight. No, I don't know why it has to be at bedtime instead of a more civilised hour, but I guess I'll find out in about five and a half hours. Tomorrow however I *will* be starting work at 10pm - it's the Harry Potter midnight shows And it'll be bloody cold

Lovely vista of white roofed buildings (well, mostly sheds and garages) out of the window this morning.Jack frost has begun his yearly work!

Camp Mabry got down to 31F early this morning, and the airport broke a 40 year record as the temperature dipped to 26/-3. It's warming up nicely and the sun is out, but we won't get much higher today than the low 60s.

It's all gone rather quiet in here again - let'sa liven things up a bit.
Yesterday... November 23rd... 87°F/30.6°C. It's going to be only a few degrees cooler today, but a good deal cooler tomorrow with (be still my beating ) an 80% chance of rain and storms Which I will no doubt get caught in seeing as I'll be working from 11am until around 6pm Better take me galoshes Currently 81/27.2 with very thin, high cloud - enough to be able to call it overcast but thin enough that the sun is still casting shadows.

Hovering around freezing point.
Mucho sleet this afternoon and apparently snow may be on the way tomorrow.
This morning it was so dark up until lunchtime it felt like dusk already.
The afternoon was nice and crisp and clear...until the sleet
Lively enuff?

There seem to be dire forecasts of snow in northern England and Scotland. My family are travelling to a get-together today/tomorrow. I hope they all get there
Nothing like that here of course. 24C today. Overcast and occasional bursts of rain.
I bought a rainbow-striped golf umbrella last week and I must remember to take it out with me today

Quite predictably of course, the rain never materialised Now there's a *slight* chance for some overnight storms. Fat bloody lot of good that is. I want to see it!!! With only a little over a month to go, the rain guage is around 10" short for the year - about a third of our average annual rainfall just never fell out of the sky this year. That's bad.

The opposite has happened here. Apparently this is a very wet early summer. I can't say I mind
It will be dampening the soil nicely for when I find a patch of it to cultivate

We didn't get the promised snow yesterday. Not sure whether to be pleased (for practical purposes) or disappointed (for childlike purposes).
I think Cornwall and Scotland got the brunt of it.
Nippy though

We did get some rain overnight and there's some more on the radar headed this way, but it seems to be dissipating as it nears Austin, just the way that rain so often does

Bit chilly on the walk home from work tonight (between around 1am and 1.30am) and even though I had a hat on, me lug'oles were stinging a bit by the time I got home - there's a good breeze blowing. At 2.45am it's 45°F/7.2°C and likely to go down to the upper 30s in town - perhaps freezing out of town.
