And I need to...
Titania (gone for lunch) Started conversation Mar 28, 2007
The downside of being seriously depressed is all the things you've neglected to do - so here's my to-do-list that I need to attend to when I feel up to it:
* Water those of my potted plants that have survived so far
* Pick up and throw away all the accumulated garbage (of a very varied kind)
* Wash all the dishes
* Remember to book a new laundry time
* Vacuum
* Change bedclothes
* PAY MY BILLS! (it's that time of the month)
And I need to...

*looks at list, starts feeling overwhelmed*
OK, OK - one thing at the time, right?
1. Pay my bills

Well, paid my bills and washed all the cutlery that needed washing at least *gives self pat on back*

Well done, Ti. The most important things are to make sure you eat, and to pay your bills so that you can continue to eat, see, be warm etc.

Well done!
May I recommend 'Baby steps' - choose a corner of a room, if you decide e.g. to do some cleaning. Or only the paper pile on the left of the computer. Skip the pile to the right for now... Or one load of laundry. Just one thing. And a small one, too.

i think making that list was a huge first step - and yes, i *am* being serious now!
and then you even went and took more steps. you should be proud of yourself
now don't you dare tell yourself that it really wasn't that much of an effort and everybody could do that.
remember: not everybody gets depressed.
it may sound easy - or at least feasible - to walk hundred miles - but only if you are born with both legs and are otherwise healthy and capable

*adds some points to the list*
Unclog the drain of the bathtub or I won't be able to shower - argh!
By birthday presents for my niece who turns 4 next week
Call my brother (if he's home from Turkey yet) to check which day would suit them best for a visit from me
Pluck my eyebrows, or I'll soon revert back to the Frida-Kahlo-look-alike style that was the reason I first started plucking them in my teens

Working 75% leaves me with no energy for doing things at home, I spend it all at w*rk.
I'm supposed to talk to my after Easter - I'll see if I can talk her into letting me go back to work 50%...

*just watched Little Shop of Horrors.....worries more about Titania than the houseplants*
Don't make them mad!

Call mother to let her know when I'll be arriving (some time Friday)
Plan alternative route to get from home to railway station on Friday since I just found out the commuter trains will turn back two stations before the railway station due to railwork - and the buses don't run on Friday. Most likely seems to get off the commuter train halfway and change to the tube, but the trip will take a lot longer, so I need to get up earlier than planned
I really, really could have done without the drain and train trouble - why does this have to happen to me, right now?
And I need to...

You can do it.
It's just 'lagen om alltings j*vlighet' (The law about the evilness of all things) kicking in.
Drain? Has it completely clogged up? Caustic soda?
And I need to...
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Apr 7, 2007
Cleared the drain, watered the houseplants, plucked my eyebrows, called my brother, checked alternative route and called my mother, clipped my toenails - now I just need to wash my hair and pack
Happy Easter all!
