There aren't any. When you're dead you're dead.
There is much we don't understand about the world but that doesn't mean that weird stuff should be ascribed to the existence of supernatural entities. That stuff is mythology, not a reasonable explanation for the unexplained.
We die, the electro-chemical marvel that is the human mind stops, that's it.
Done.
Finished.
Over and out.
Dig what you've got coz' you ain't getting any more when it's gone.
Righty, time for a coffee.

I have in on fairly good authority that, yes, death does indeed involve a fairly substantial element of being dead.
Aunt Mabel (1857 - 1902) told me.

I don't think I'd waste my time. I'd rather visit the places I'd never had a chance to see due to lack of cash!
As for death being IT. The grand farewell, that's not quite true, as the matter that was, transubstantiates into the matter that will be, either through fire or decomposition. Hence, theoretically, we do live forever, just in an infinite number of ways, coalescing with the particles of a multitude of other dead objects.
I guess it means I am animal, vegetable and mineral, and some particle of me may once have been a Pterodactyl or a Triceratops.
I'm a dinosaur before I'm even born!!!

I do hope the hospitally doctory types who don't want my flesh and blood whilst I'm alive will take it when I no longer require it
We're all made of stars remember.... And I think* we all eventually will go back to make new stars ... thus is the way with these elemental err elements from which we is cobbled together...
I'm going to be making a ghost myself soon... well Ghosting the harddrive on the new netbook when it turns up

Well mine have been known to turn a head or two, and stop clocks at 50 paces! Of course, I do live in a very old house, so they've had years of practice

Any particular reason for informing us of the non-existance of ghosts? Or just a random outburst?
Ermm...
I don't suppose this is the time to say I don't actually agree...?

Most Haunted Live and a conversation about it elsewhere.
I might have to put Ghostbusters on now.

Ahh...
Most Haunted Live...
Yvette Fielding should be made to find out for certain about the existance of ghosts - by being shot. I admit, as far as I'm concerned, that programme is pants. I still believe in some form of life after death...

Give rise to some good fictional storeys and moovies.... But thats about it really, I still find it hard to understand seemingly sain and coheriant adults otherwise still believing in such things Having seen UFos, 'unexplained happenings', and having had out of body experiances when nearly dead, I never found the need to have invented, sorry, evoked such things as little green men, and people from the 'afterlife' to explain any of it
Mind, none of this helps explain the monster who lives under my bed, or the tiger in the kitchen.

As in, why does it continue?
