Colonel Sellers has left h2g2, which is a shame, but I can certainly sympathise with the reasons he gave. On an entirely unrelated note, the cartoon I link to on my home space above made me - gotta love Scott Adams.
It'll dissappear in under a month - so be quick...

Monologue
Posted Nov 22, 2001
Have I told you about my new workplace? It's a nice enough place - keeps me off the street, anyway. It's a bit drab around the edges - but that's ok: they're planning on refurbishing it. It'll be a bit inconvenient to have the painters and decorators in once a month, but at the end it'll be very nice. Wish I could say the same about my colleagues' English - they write incredibly long run-on sentences - lots of semi-colons and commas - I keep saying how we need more periods, but do they listen? Worse, I'm the only marxist, so there's only little me flying a red flag. Still, the christmas dinner will be fun - we're going to go out and paint the town red.
I'm looking forward to my holiday, even so. I'm going to go out to Reegen - it's a cool town, and it's got some lovely architecture in the modern part. Thing is, it's difficult to find a cheap hotel in East Regen, so I'll stay by the station and walk over each day. Well - it's more exciting than last year: going down to London with Fanny and listening to The Hormones.
I've finally got a TV, too - which is pretty nice. You know how there's always dodgy sports on late night TV? Last night it was the internation clown olympics, featuring an eight-way showdown at the climax. Myself I was really pro jester one, cos he wasn't wearing white, but number five stole the title in the end - little bleeder.

Viruses
Posted Sep 26, 2001
There have been lots of virus warnings recently... but the one that caught me out is an old friend - the common cold.
And I don't have enough sick days built up yet, so I have to come to work and infect everyone else. Strike one for company policy...
Don't come too close.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
