The Stress Test will determine whether more medication is required, Angioplasty [with stenting] or by-pass operation.
They might, if after the stress test they're still not sure, go for an Angiogram to get a clearer picture of the arteries before deciding on any of the above options.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Aug 26, 2012
Sorry to hear you've a suspected problem with your heart, GB, but I have to say they can do great things for hearts these days. A friend in the choir had a stent put in at the age of 80 and was back singing three weeks later. My brother-in-law had a quadruple bypass and he is doing just fine, with a new outlook on life. Hopefully whatever is wrong with you won't be as bad as either of these, and you'll get by with some tablets, a change of diet and exercise.
Thinking of you.

That's right, Gnomon, and my brother underwent a procedure where they went in through his groin and burnt some nerves in his heart. - It wasn't particularly pleasant but it was worth is, says he.
Here's hoping tablets will do it for you, AGB - and if exercise is needed, just think about how much worse it could be
