*can't wait to hear about LiS's sining the previous night*
Although I suspect that was a Freudian typo {another one???} A common affliction, I find
Booking in for another celibate weekend

Only appearing briefly as this weekend is going to be non existant for me. I'm having to do University lectures and practicals
They're making me attend a 9AM tutorial session on Sunday which doesn't finish 'til 5
Do they get kicks out of ruining my weekend or something?

Sometimes it feels like that, doesn't it?
I was having a lovely dream when my son woke me at 7, then after I got up, he went back to his own bed!
Oh, the joys of parenthood.
All I have to look forward to today is the return of the stormy weather tonight, and my roof isn't repaired yet from the last one
At least h2g2 was easy to access this morning!
No wonder, just 10 Users online...

Being sensible and staying in bed most likely, where I would have preferred to be instead of losing all my friends by shouting at them very loudly as they prevented me from completing my paperwork.
Who in their right mind would want to be an executive anyway? It's just far too stressful
I need a weekend to unwind, but next weekend it's my folks birthdays (dad on 10th and mum on 13th), and on the 25th I'm meeting everyone at the meetup (I suppose I can kip on the coach). So it looks like my weekend to unwind will be in December

I can better that.
I *never* get a weekend off.
I get one day/night respite a month, and I've had to bribe my daughter to take my son so I can have the whole weekend of the London meet off
~That~ weekend is my wind-down, even with the 4-hour travelling, each way.

*checking in*
Uneventful weekend..
Sin(g)ing on friday was a but of a bust.. I got to do the first song of the evening, and then I had to wait for about two and a half hours til I got to sing the next one, while other people came and went onto the stage.. It kind of sucked.
Well, yesterday was Fire works night. Went into Glasgow to see the big fire works there.. Ended up arriving about 10 seconds after it was all over. Wasn't too bad, though. Was in the company of friends. Some more good-looking than others.. Some more IRish than others. Oh well...

I absolutly love fireworks - and so did the love of my life. Before she walked out of my life we planned to marry on November the 5th!
I went to a brilliant fireworks display last night! It went on for ages, and just as it finished the heavens opened and it poured down with rain - as we sprinted for the car a family pulled up and asked us for directions to the display

Isn't that always the case? Some people always manage to just miss it (me and my friends in my case) by about half a minute.

Hehe. I don't actually recall asking anyone for directions. And I think we got there by train too, so unless I was drunk out of my mind (which i'm kinda sure that I wasn't) it couldn't have been me. But it would probably not surprise me.

We had trains running yesterday. We got both to Glasgow and back again last night.
Had we gone by car, we wouldn't have missed the fireworks, but they did say on the radio that driving by car was inadvisable (heh, I like that word).

Why didn't you just listen to the fireworks on the radio instead?

I've recently written a book on old-fashioned parlour games and am currently engaged in translating it into the Welsh language, but am having a little difficulty with one or two phrases. I know that you're a fairly erudite group in here, so can anyone assist me please?
The phrases are -
Dining table, handcuffs & baby oil.
Thank you.
