Hello, I'm Shellers and welcome to my page - it may not look much, but it's home.

This is the medal Abi presented to me (on the night, she also presented me with a small bust - ahem - but that's another story) as the first ever winner of her prestigious "Sid James Memorial Unoffical h2g2 award for the most creative use of innuendo in a thread by a researcher without breaking the terms and conditions" award. Apparently, the cheque's still in the post.

I live and work in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire (UK) and have been commuting regularly between here and Cambridge, where I often conducted field research for the guide - although more recently I transferred my research to Stratford upon Avon. I've been a fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books since they were first published.

My main interests in life are computers, cycling, walking, reading and I love France and all things French, so if you'd like to be bored to death on the subject, please email me - or if you just feel like being bored to death anyway, then still email me.

I'm also a member of the h2g2 Researchers group - doing our bit towards the SETI@home Project, which uses otherwise idle PCs to form the largest distributed processing project in the world in the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, and have now completed 7,500 work units.
