This is the start of the new celibacy thread

Do the PTB realise that I gave up sex for well over a year simply to qualify for GB's celibacy thread and now find that it's been deleted! If they'd told me that was going to happen, I could have carried on having sex for a few more months.

Yep - and it's in its rightful place this time.
It doesn't belong with one of these 'here today, come tomorrow' types

I'm not really here Posted Mar 12, 2001
I've been celibate since October 6th I think it was.
Sort of. Technically anyway.

I wasn't counting until just now. It was last year. *sigh*

You poor things.
I have every sympathy for your plight.
Now I am being sorted regularly, I hope I never go back to being celibate.

Mina you took the words right out of my mouth. Now I know why Grant Mitchell always had that smirk on his face as he said "Sorted!"

Yes, indeed.
What a huge waste!
I like your new name, Shellers.
Very tongue-in-cheek.
Romantic? Actually that was Steve's words to me, when he asked me if I was happy, and I said yes, I am, then I thought he probably has something to say, so I asked him if he was happy and he said "Of course I am. I'm being sorted regularly!"
Looking back now, that was probably a joke.
I really should lighten up.
But it's difficult to know how to act/react when there's a 23 y.o. single woman interested in your fella & they are texting each other back & forth in your presence.
~He~ says she is just a friend, but it's an ego trip for him as she has a crush on him.
When I said it is bruising my ego that a woman half my age is on the scene, he said "Well what do you want me to do?Tell her to f*** off?"
Why didn't I say "YES"????

Would you believe it, I'm still you know what and here's me having given up moaning about stuff for Lent moaning about stuff.
To be truthful, the celibacy bit doesn't bother me, what bothers me is not having as a good friend once said to me, "an unnecessary overhead"

~still lurking~
The best thing about having a relationship isn't just the regular sex.
It's having someone there when you need someone to talk to, or when they drop everything & rush round with a takeaway & a bottle of vodka just because you are feeling down/had bad news/your older son has moved out & the house is ~so~ quiet; {guess what happened to me!}
Knowing I was safe to cry on his shoulder & feel his comforting arms around me...means a whole bundle.

I know and that's what I want more than anything else. I think I need to get out more.
