All I can say is that the sex-education system in this country (UK) is dismal. It's not suprising that I've learnt more in the last couple of days than I think I've learnt in 5 years of PSE in school.

My parents lost their virginities together on their wedding night..... and are still together. There has never been anyone else for either of them. Their relationship survived long seperations during the war...In December, they'll celebrate 59 years of wedded bliss.
Everybody say "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"

Shellers (Master of wit and ready repartee) Posted Sep 11, 2000
I think I'm going for the record here at 34.
Personally, I always used to believe that sex should be an act of love, so I 'saved' myself for the 'right person' and ended up losing my virginity to my wife to be a few months before our wedding. To some extent I still don't believe in 'casual' sex, and have still only had two lovers in my life.

That's amazing, Shellers, thank you for that! Wow, this forum is deep! I never imagined....the contributions. Thanks, everyone.

Although it's not directly connected to the virginity thread, my second lover was actually someone I 'met' online in a chatroom - who I last saw nine months and three weeks ago, and who will remain the greatest love of my life until the day I die.

Well, this thread is incredibly long and it's not even a day old. So as you have all let it all hang out, so will I. Nothing spectacular. I was abroad (written together!!), 19, and fancied loads of people other than this guy, who was French. It was boring and not at all pleasant. I was dry and had my period. That didn't bother him because he had lived with a girl for three years previously and knew all the routines, just not very well, apparently.
I would like to throw two new aspects into this forum:
a: How about a forum on erogenous zones, GB? Now that is one where everyone (according to the magazines) should have different answers.
b: What experiences have others made when their children reach that age? Did your sons/daughters give any signs they had lost their virginity? (Most children seem to think their parents don't know anything about sex, which is a contradiction in terms if ever I heard one!) I must be careful what I say here, my son(s) have started hanging out in H2G2 too....

I was 18 when I lost my virginity - to an American girl who was 21 and seemed to me (at the time) to be hugely experienced. I remember it being very passionate and exciting and I also remember not lasting very long. We basically had a sexual relationship until she had to return to the US. When she left it broke my heart.

Alright here goes...I was 14, drunk and not being very smart. I liked the guy but I didn't love him. It wasn't very painful for me and as usual not orgasm but it did get painful for him...he was a very good friend of my brother, who happened to walk in.

Trillian's child - your wish is my command.
A new thread has been started...
My girls both told me when they "lost theirs".
My older daughter is still with the same man, they are now married. My 2nd daughter chose a friend who she'd grown up with, who shared her birthday too. My teenage son? I haven't a clue. He only ever asks me where his clean clothes are, or when the next meal is...

Awww Courtney! Heaven's above! That's got to take the prize so far.... I take it the "pain" for your initiator was a good kicking from your outraged brother? ;-(

I have never seen my brother so very angry. and I learned do not sleep with your brothers best friend. its a bad idea.
Virginity
Trillian's child Posted Sep 11, 2000
One wonders if he was angry because you had pipped him to the post or whether it was brotherly protectiveness.
(You don't have to answer, C!)

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 11, 2000
I suspect it was anger at his friend betraying his trust? Maybe the men would be better at answering this one! Most men I know can't imagine their sisters having sex, yet happily chase other men's sisters....

My sister and I act as confidantes to each other. Most of the time, this is great, as we talk relatively freely about our sexual experiences. Most of the time we just take the piss out of each other.
Oh well, gotta go.
BTW, 19, with a Spanish girl called Raquel. She had fun. I didn't. I assumed that this was because I was crap, and spent the rest of my uni days rabidly accepting any straight proposition I received. The jury's still out on my crapness, tho'.
Key: Complain about this post
