hope you're well - seems like ages since we've exchanged gossip doesn't it! Things are fine here. We're having a bit of good weather for a nice change so it's been deckchairs in the garden for us this weekend
How's it going for you my friend? Has the fine weather reached you?
Well, nothing much happening here really - my girls have both had their birthdays in this last week so a little bit of panic/excitement but other than that life just jogs along as normal.
Work's been busy - I still haven't managed to connect my home pc back to the internet so I'm mostly relying on calling in at work at the mo ... I with I could find out which button I'd pressed so I could un-press it Never mind tho - it'll all sort itself out eventually no doubt.
Are you away on holiday this summer Jaz'd? I'm not planning on going away again although I do have a couple of weeks off work in August, while the girls are on holiday from school, so we may get some odd days out during that time.
Well, while I'm here I'm going to leave you the usual supplies of es s s and es and vast containerloads of
Chat again soon

'lo Karen!
Yes it certainly does seem like ages! I'm doing fine - certainly glad you are as well. Weather has been quite nice, despite the month of June starting off fairly cool & somewhat rainy. Very sunny now(another of those 'not a cloud in the sky' days)& 23.3 C of a forecast 27 - which I'm sure we'll reach.
The final day of our annual Jazz festival today & again it would seem to have been a relative success. I noticed last month that one of the major U.S. Jazz magazines included a brief mention of us(& our festival)in their summer festival edition, listing the numerous festivals across north america. Good publicity is always nice!
My eldest niece has her 16th birthday later this month, the 26th. Certainly have to conjur up something reasonably unique for that...but then I have a bit of time to formulate a plan of some sort.
No holiday on the near horizon, or even the distant horizon for that matter. Although my sister-in-law's family has a very nice house at the lake, so a weekend there is usually an option at some point during the summer.
Oh most definitely can't forget to leave plenty of s'n'es'n'all! And of course even more plentiful supplies of ...and an extra or two
Yes, take care and look forward to chatting soon!

'lo honey
Just dashing thru so thought I'd pop by and say hello How's things with you my friend?
Busy here lately - don't seem to find much time to get into hootoo at all at work and the pc at home has kindly decided I don't want to use the internet any more Such is Life eh! One day I'll get around to doing something about it!
How did the Festival go ? Were you helping out this year??
Nothing much doing here really - we've got some awfully hot weather at the moment which is great if you're in a deckchair somewhere but not so good for working in Still, better than all that cold stuff!
Well, sorry this is a quickie - just wanted to let you know I'm still thinking of you honey and to leave you the usual vast quantities of es s es and s and tons and tons of

Hello Karen!
Glad you could stop by! I'm doing alright, staying reasonably busy here too. Was out at my brother'srural residence last night(well Sun. evening my time-I'm sure you were asleep)to celebrae his eldest daughters 16th birthday. It's actually on Wed. but the weekend was better for a celebration. Things went very nicely, sitting outside on their shaded deck & looking out on the rolling meadows. And with the temp. hovering just above 30 C nice wether for an ice cream !
Then I was out with a cousin to see 'An Inconvenient Truth' this afternoon. It's a very powerful movie about Global Warming and the dangers that the future holds if we don't change our ways. Among other things he includes a very pertinent quote from Winston Churchill - "...the age of complacency..." I believe...very appropriate given the current circumstances!
The festival went well and yes I was helping out...nice to be involved!
It was quite hot today...at least 33 C although the long-range forecast shows some cooler weather ahead. I'm actually alternating between typing replies to you and Boundless Bert(who was just asking about you). And the sun will soon start to brighten the eastern sky...*sigh* so I'd best try to make this somewhat of a quickie too! Leaving ample s'n'es'n'all! And never, ever any shortage of

Hey Jaz'd!
How are you?? Thought I'd pop in and say hello ... it's been a while since we chatted hasn't it! My home pc has finally given up the permanently and so I now only get the chance to post from work and time there is scarce
Anyway my friend, what have you been up to these last weeks? Hope you had a good summer and that the good weather is still with you. We've had an exceedingly wet August unfortunately which coincided with 2 weeks I had off work. We didn't have much planned other than a couple of day's out so the girls and I generally mooched around finding things to do indoors. But it was good to have a break from work if nothing else.
The only bit of excitement was my nephew's wedding which was a good day - luckily although the weather was stormy we didn't get caught out in it at all and everything went well for them. It was the first wedding my girls had ever been too and they were quite excited to go, but after a day spent with Grandparents and ageing Aunts and Uncles I'm not too sure they're gagging for the next one
Now I'm back at work and the girls are back at school and it's all downhill til
Well, I'd best get on with some work I guess. Leaving you vast quantities of esses and s in case it's a while til I can get back here again and, as alway, just truckloads of

& even bigger y ...as well as a or two
I'm fine...oh it seems like ages - Sheryl's Mam passed away , the funeral service was on Mon.
No pc at home...hmmm...
Oh yes, I've had a good summer, sadly it seems to be drawing to an end! Although hopefully not for some time yet! The festival that more-or-less marks the end(or beginning of the end)of summer for me has come and gone. That's our local version of Edinburgh's Fringe festival. We set a new record for attendance this year - 568,858 from the 520,000 last year. And I've gotten myself an actual roaster. Much like a heavy-duty hot-air popcorn popper. But it's well into the e-a-rly morning hours & I'd best consider at least some sleep.
Yes leaving huge supplies of s'n'all! And of course twice as much ...good to see you back Karen
