Yes the first time actually meeting her...had spoken on the phone. I think it'll go well, she seems quite nice.

I'm sure it will - she'd be a strange sort if she could resist your charms m'dear
Actually, I'm planning to meet up with a friend I've made on site on Saturday. We've met before, we're going to create some *middle-aged lady mayhem* at a convenient branch of Ikea. Should be fun

Hi honey
thought I'd drop by and say hello ... how was your weekend? I hope things went well for you
Things here are fine, the weekend was busy - met up with a friend from the site on Saturday for some retail therapy which was a lot of fun. Got a coloured glass *chandelier* which now has pride of place in our kitchen/dining room. Very tasteless but one of those *must haves*
Yesterday was spent getting everything sorted out for eldest daughters trip to New York. She leaves on Wednesday and although she's only staying til Sunday, the amount of clothes she *needs* to take with her is quite awesome Still, she's very excited to be going (I wish I were going too) and I think Wednesday can't come soon enough for her.
Did you have fun?
I'll maybe catch up with you in the morning (here) if you're about, if not then you take care of yourself my friend and hopefully our paths will cross very soon
As usual, vast quantities of s es es and s coming your way and at least double that amount of

Hello Karen luv! Big
The weekend went very nicely! I was out for a very light meal with my friend Stuart & his girlfriend (which is a fairly recent development). Just samosas with a nice dip & a very nice freshly squeazed fruit juice...with a small complimentary bowl of soup. Certainly welcome after the -13 C outside! This was at a cozy family-operated southern Indian cafe. I then treated them to an evening of music at that local club I'm so fond of. Actually an excellent choice on my part as they were both extremely impressed.
Ah yes, I know about those 'must haves'The trip to New York certainly sounds exciting...I'm sure she's counting the minutes! It certainly would be quite the trip...I haven't been to New York & I'm on the same continent. Yes I'm sure our paths will cross sooner or later...I was half expecting to see you in the Shoppe at some point last week.
But yes as usual Huge quantities ofs'n'es'n's'n'es. And considerably larger quantities of

morning Darrell
no surprise to see your eyes still shining there
I tend not to get into The Shoppe quite so much these days. There was a long spell when there was never anyone around in the evenings and I've got into the habit of getting to bed a bit earlier and catching up on some reading instead
I'd forgotton that you were meeting your friend's girlfriend for the first time. How did it go? Did you like her?? Sounds as if the evening generally was a success anyway.
I'm just going to have a look and see what the temps are like in New York at the mo .... it's in freezing here !
I'll be back in a bit with a for you ....

Good morning Karen!
Ah yes,, I can understand then about your absence from the Shoppe & catching up on reading as well as sleep.
Yes she is quite nice(I did like her) & the evening was definitely a success!
Ok ...is usually appreciated!

Is the weather bad with you at the mo? We've been quite lucky so far but they say this next week is likely to be cold
Not quite in the -27C league tho!

jaz'd(ace & yada yada *sigh* chocolate yada) Posted Feb 28, 2006
It's -13 C at the moment which isn't really that bad. Our winter(as winters usually are in this part of the world)seemed to start in Feb. We did have 3 very cold-especially after all the warm weather-days of -26 or so...which came as quite a shock!

Researcher 1214535 Posted Feb 28, 2006
hmmmm, yes - you see, that's the difference I guess. We do get down into the minuses sometimes but never for long. Anything below zero here (in my bit of the UK anyway) is quite extreme for us.
We're much the same with timing tho I think. March arrives and I always heave a sigh of relief and assume spring has sprung but, actually, March can be a dreadfully cold month
Not sure I could cope with -13C

jaz'd(ace & yada yada *sigh* chocolate yada) Posted Feb 28, 2006
Oh indeed March can really be an extreme month. Or at least usher in change, there's the adage about March coming in like a lion & going out like a lamb or vice versa.

personally I'm more of a warm weather gal myself The small bit of good weather we get sandwiched between the beginning of July and the end of August is my idea of heaven
It's just the other 10 months I have a bit of trouble with

Yes, so I gathered from your previous comments about preferring the warmer weather! But I suppose I'd best consider getting to bed as I've a few errands to run later. Look forward to catching you again Karen!
