Hello all! Hope you enjoy your Holiday!!! It's just after 3am...I'm
falling asleep here! LOL!!! Last time I fell asleep at the computer I went 'sleep typing'!!! Made an ass of myself... & down loaded something??? That mucked Mac up for days! I'll answer your quuestions after I've had some sleep...I came back in to get a coat to sleep in, as it's 59 degrees & my hair's still wet from my swim today.
Brrr. My lips are purple! I want to see the Heron when I awaken in the
light of day. Take care-one & all....I shall return (hopefully well rested)! BE WELL......Pan

Well I babysat those kids and never heard one peep from them, I sat there watching TV for 3 and a half hours, sipping the odd cup of coffee and what do I get? £10.50!!!!!! I think this is a good job to take up actually!

Sorry, stayed away for an extra week in windy Norfolk - no way to let you know! I would have sent you a postcard, but no 'puter around!!(witnessed a new BIG wind turbine switched on from the bungalow - will supply five percent of the Yarmouth area with electricity)

Hey Pandora, we are sort of the same age - except I'm nine months older than you (11 Mar 56) - sort of fishy that!

Mum had a bad fall today & after I washed her head, took her to the med. centre - she is, so far, OK. I keep phoning her to check.

Will speak to you later in the week - I've got piles of washing to do, plus trying to get the garden back in order: a whole month in quite alot of heat with no removing of seedheads, old blossoms, etc - not to mention the weeds - sheer Pandemonium - sorry, that wasn't supposed to be a pun!!

I hope your mum is ok! I remember the time my mum used to go mad worrying about her mum when she was alive! (I'm talking about when my grandmother was alive, my mum is alive and well thank God!)

My mum took me on a mini spending spree for clothes today! We went to Primark and I got 2 blouses (one blue and a white ¾ length sleeve), a pair of combat trousers and a long pink skirt! And all that came to a mere £19! Go to some shops and that would all come to something like £70! I bought myself a nice necklace from Miss Selfridge for £3 and it says "ROCK" on it in glitter! I am quite happy with that!

Whenever I seem to drop in on your conversations, you always seem to be in such high spirits whereas I'm always feeling down - although living in a log cabin in a wood by a river must really be something to lift the spirits. Have you had a look at my home page and any of my thoughts yet?

2cv, sorry, I haven't checked out your home page (yet). Until just the other day...I had very limited access on the Net. I've been here since I got Mac in March (2000). So, I'm only just now learning how to use it! Where I live has little to do with my spirits.
It's good people who keep my spirits high & making new friends here helps alot too! Would you like to talk a bit about why you're usually down? We're ALL friends here! When I'm sad, someone always comes along to cheer me up I ask folks to feel as though they are sitting in my living room whilst here. And to try to speak openly. You can even sit in my favorite Lazy Boy recliner!
(at least until Shirps returns...she'll be wanting to have a glass of wine & put her feet up) Both sides of the couch recline too...but you'll have to convince Belle (my little blue doberman) that she dosen't need the entire area for herself

We havn't met Shirps but I visted your homepage after Pandora's comments on expecting you back. I've seen some of the English Civil War Society's recreations. Gloriously politically incorrect - waving pikes and muskets about, letting off cannons, robbing the bodies... .

I fell asleep, with lotion I put on my feet after I'm in bed, in my hand, & awakened 10 hours later still holding it! HA! I was so stiff...I could hardly get up! LOL!!!

I almost got roasted by mum today! I got one of those ear cuffs that make it look as if you've got a piercing at the top of your ear and mum thought it was for real and shouted at me, so I had to take it off in a way that made it obvious it was a fake before she let me go! I was gonna say yes as a joke but decided against it after I saw the look on her face I thought for my own sake I'd better not! LOL!

I think your subconscious must have known about the lotion! Its quite a picture! Did you hold it upright? I have great respect for the subconscious, but I've been a bit wary of mine ever since it did some algebra for me without my knowing. A piece of work I couldn't do. That was going too far - like having someone else in your head. If I couldn't do that homework then who did?

I have no news - I've been at work all day. The only unusual, thankfully unusual, happenning was that I took a call from our exchair of Directors. I only have to catch sight of him and my hackles rise. This is not a way I normally react. I can only think of a couple of other people that this has happened with.

I'm getting ready to go off on holiday. Leaving 4.30am Saturday morning to make sure I don't miss the ferry. I've missed one before - had my sister turning up to meet it and waiting.....and waiting.....There's only one ferry a day and no other way to the islands. Took a long time to live that down.

Wonder if Katsy's mum has grey hairs yet?

She blames them all on me thankyou! She dyes them black anyway!

sells FAKE belly button rings & the like.....I have been threaghtening to have my nose peirced for years. Well, I bought a pack of three...they truely look as though they are real!!! I put one in the side of my nose, one one my dlb. peirced ear & one in my belly buttom! He hit the roof!!! (& we have 22' vaulted ceilings!) As I began to laugh, he became more & more angery!
I said. "Well then, I guess you don't care to see what I've done to my (everybody male stop reading here) nipples!" HA! (okay-the men may return) I would have carried on with the joke but I thought he was going to stroke out on me!!! He even yelled,"I'll never take you out in public again!" Oh, it was too funny! He felt like a real jerk as I pulled them off! He pulled me into the light. Looked at me closely & said,"Good! Let's keep it this way...and I
don't think that was the least bit funny!" Every once in awhile I'll put the nose ring in & walk past him. He just looks away, saying,"That's just not funny." Well...it is to ME!!! LOL!!!

Things are just peachy-keen with me. I stopped wprk early tonight, er, this morning so I could play on h2g2 & catch up on all my emails. Done!!! Now I'm going to go take a nice pain pill & watch TV until the dog awakens me to go outside! Isn't that a thrilling way to spend a friday night...er, Saturday morning?!? Just as the swimming pool became butifully clear...it became very chilly! Brrrr!!! I don't want to heat the pool as high as I'd have to to get in it...& I don't feel like logging firewood...so, I won't be hanging around in the woods (a bit of a pun there, as I hang in the hammock every chance I get). You don't seem to be an ax murderer or anyone that might scare me away And as for peircing body parts...may I just say,"Ahhhhhhhhh!" I have two holes in both ear lobes. The one has a perminante gold ring in it. I got it when I became 'an old salt' (someone who's sailed across the equator)
It's a tradition from long ago. If your body washed upon the shore then the finder would take the gold ring & pay to have you buried & keep the change! The other lobe gets treated to gems!!
