that last post/method was for calamari/squid by the way.
You could look up octopus recipes on the web. But don't click on this link if you are squeamish

A true story my friend told me of the local beach.
A child started screaming in the sea, as an octopus had attached itself to his leg. The local children here are extremely good swimmers and the beach is very safe. The child's father and my friend rushed into the waves to save the child. My friend carried the child out, but the child's father grabbed the octopus, and then very proudly took it home for supper.

I don't think we have octopuses along the seashore here.

Probably not, I think the water has to be fairly warm.

Well, these http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/ thrive in a fairly cold climate...

You already had three ingredients, though: chicken, mushrooms, and rice. Adding bacon would have given you a fourth ingredient, and brought you perilously close to a six-ingredient meal, which would have evil !

Butter.
Onion
Garlic
Chicken
mushrooms
cheese
rosemary
mixed herbs
Black pepper
chicken stock
Aborio rice *counts*

I am about to 'rescue' an entry from the Flea Market about cuttlefish, a relative of the squid. I shall be asking for some recipes from you all - be warned!
Thank bob that some lovely person has already written about octopuses and I won't have to!

I wonder if anyone would believe a salad recipe for cuttlefish, radishes, and tofu?
