Standing on the edge of eternity,looking out over the void.
Do I see the past,present or future,
the answer will always be unknown
Have I past this way before on a never-ending carousel,
could it be a journey of one direction only.
Time is not endless in our way of thinking.
The same questions repeat through the cycle of rebirth,
no one returns from the outward journey.
To remain the same at the start.
Life is not a task, no matter the struggle,
just a mere atom in a universe of many.
To spend a lifetime in search of the answer to the quest,
you miss the very substance that is all around.
A speck of dust,can hold a life of knowledge,
a second glance is given not.
To blame the past,today or the future,
changes nothing in the progression of time.
The circle will never be broken,
different life,still the outcomes the same.
Standing on the edge of eternity,
who knows when my journey started.
Who cares if ever it will end,
I will enjoy each second,be it repeated,
or first time round.
For I carry for always and forever,
two words I can never forget.

Makes my journey worthwhile...

Deep in the jungle of Hullabaloogadee
There was a shy Lion looking for a sensible place to pee
He tried to squirt a quick one up against a tree
But it turned out to be an Elephant’s leg
Oh boy did he feel its knee
Poor old Lion he was getting on a bit
And couldn’t hold his bladder like he did when he was fit
He looked as far as his eyes could see which wasn’t very far
For was now in tears of agony and his sight a blurry mar
He thought he’d try the river on a mouldy old rock
And nearly lost his manhood to a grouchy old Crock
By now he was getting desperate and tried it in long grass
But soon got a bite from a Snake by the name of Pregass
In the end he found a village and the people ran away
So he used their convenience and decided to stay.

Not sure about the ending though it just sounded better in my head than it looks written down

BM, its that sort of individuality, that makes this thread, because only home wrote stuff is asked for and given.

I'm ok, for the time of year

As I sit in dappled shadow looking out on fields of gold
I feel myself contented, what a joy to behold.
A day in a life filled with merriment and glee
To throw off the yoke and for a while be free.
Out of harms way in a field full of hay
Revelling in bliss, come what may.
To be still and breathe deep the pure country air
Nothing could be finer or so fair.
Out in a field of warm summer gold
Awaiting on wild entertainment to then enfold.
In the dappled shadow of countless trees
Listening to the droning of the bees.
The capering and larking of fur filled fun
All the while with greedy eyes on my lunchtime bun.
The chitter and the chatter from up in the trees
With out a care of how much they please.
A change in the air with a breeze up on high
Brings out a squeal from a new passer by.
Then there is drama with a silence that’s felt
For a shadow descends under swift wings so svelte.
But the shadow’s soon gone and the chatter returns
And I hear some soft movement from amongst the ferns.
But time is now catching, a life to resume
Back to the drudgery of working life gloom.
As I sit in dappled shadow looking out on fields of gold
I feel myself contented, what a joy to behold.


Some days are just perfect but they are too few and far between for my liking I'm afraid

BM, I agree, years ago, I used to sit in the countryside and drift, now! the exact place is under tarmac...a motorway

Far too much of this country is under tarmac and concrete.
I count myself lucky that I now don't have to go far to get away from it all

My friends have been feeling rather sh*tty
because of they find being very witty
can now find them in deep doo doo
so once more they are feeling like poo.

I am losing a very close friend
who now feels the rules will not bend
to the wishes of those against Big Brother
and so will depart to the place of another.

I can only say this is a b*gger
as in the new place I will not be a hugger
for I cannot understand the new code
of the place to be his new abode.

Crying hearts, scared to say
What might happen on this day
Babies hurting, mother helpless
Eating what we'd throw away
The pain inside that they must feel
