Yeah, like, if I was a male fairy with powerful magic, I could under a door, cast "FIRE", sneak back out, and I've sigle-handedly destroyed an enemy fortress without even being seen! There are some unique advantages to being small. But elves are cool too.

aha, I read as an elven wizard, I can learn any spell just by seeing it used. Blue Magic. Cool.
Would be nice if I started with at least one spell though.

Well, yeah, you DO start out with ... well, the equivalent of up to Level 2 magic (a la FF1) ...
