five hours to go before two weeks holiday

I've just been reading my old journal entries. So many memories.

I am waiting for the day when we have interstellar space travel in galaxy class spacecraft that are bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside like a filled with 24th century technology. I am also waiting for the day to make contact with an alien civilisation that is highly evolved and highly eccentric as they are fluent in telepathic technobabble and are surrounded by 24th century Star Trek technology.

I'm back. What did I miss?

Wistfully thinking about the High Pressure strikes back across the UK today.

I was amazed by the difference physiotherapy made to the pain in my hip. Today's pain is a minor inconvenience compared to what it used to be.

I think someone ought to post a nice clear explanation of what “non sequitur” actually means. That would make the world a better place.

In doing so I defeat the purpose of this thread. Well I did that now, so let's finish it.

A Non Sequitur is a statement that has no relation whatsoever with what has been said before. So by definition it is forbidden to react to what anyone else has posted here before.

This thread can be good if you just want to get something off your mind, but don't need any follow up.

It's 00:43, I'm tired and I ought to go to bed, but I can't face going up the stairs. (I undid the benefit of the physiotherapy yesterday by going up and down the stairs a lot. Today I paid the penalty. Ouch!)

Rather than what I’d assumed, which was that it’s a non sequitur if the last sentence in this post doesn’t follow from the rest of this post.
