No, the Thingites and a few other are attacking specific targets on Collective. Mainly all we want is an apology, and for this page to be renamed "Collective V H2G2 - Which is better?". The page would point out the good and bad points of both sites and people could talk about it in the forums. That's all.

I wonder what sparked this off? Did an irate Hootooer go and bad mouth the collective to their faces or am I thinking of someone else? Was this a crime of passion, jealousy? Is it really neccessary to deign a reply to unfounded and unsupportable(the evidencial kind) attack? If Hootoo is so bad, why are the collective here? And if Hootoo is outdated and due to die why does it carry-on? Has the Collective read the books and found the genius behind the concept? Was there not also a Encyclopeadia Galactica to rival and peacefully coexist with the guide, yet even so, guide was more popular? Do you all as a Collective owe us an apology? That is for you to decide.

When did all this happen?

I thought we were merely defending h2g2 from the vicious attack against it's hallowed forums by certain members of the collective... When did we decide to go on the offensive and actually *attack* them instead?!


Really... just changing the title of the entry would be fine with me. I'm not up for a full scale war right now anyway - I may have all my s shined and ready, but I'd rather just admire them, instead of having to actually *use* them.

as well as he doesnt disrespect us im fine with him, but once he says a word against us its not a pretty sight, as hes seen twice already.

well i accept ur apology whole heartedly
but i want one from astronomo as well, he made the greatest insults to us of all collective members....
although i believed he is rather embarrased to have been talked down by someone he sees as inferior *shrugs*
