Yeah. By the official guys. smiley - bigeyes

Dave Barry has also said that in the first version of DOS, you usually had a conversation like this:

C:\>Hello.
Bad command or filename.

C:\>Then what's a good one?
Bad command or filename.

C:\>No, look, I'm asking you what I can do here.
Bad command or filename.

C:\>Bad command or filename.
Bad command or filename.

C:\>WHAT CAN I DO HERE, &@#%%IT!?
Bad command or filename, @$$hole.

And that there were rumored to be SOME commands or filenames, perhaps known only to Bill Gates, that would get some sort of result other than "Bad command or filename.

C:\>"

And that C:\> thing. What was the C:\> for? And why C? Why not D or Q or ยต for goshsakes!?

Fortunately, with DOS 2.0, Dave was able to write a program which counted from 1 to 100.

He's an American humor columnist. He once managed to send an E-mail or possibly newsgroup message (popularly known as "The Dr. Chuckletrousers Post") to everyone except the person for whom it was intended. You may have heard about this; you may have even recieved it. If so, could you send it to me? [email protected]

are you stupid or something? DOS 1 didn't use that prompt, there was no HDD support or Directory structure implemented at that point that would be 2.1

That's all very well, but there was a recent case of MacDonald's being taken to court because the drinks were TOO hot! About 20 people in the UK are suing; some have suffered third-degree burns. This follows a similar court case in the States - MacDonald's lost!
