Probably needs to be used to write medical records on. After all, right now the computer system is up the chute.

I've not had any leaflets yet and my postal vote will be here soon.

Not that the leaflets will affect my vote.

And my vote won't affect the outcome, because I live in one of the safest seats in the country. But I'll still use it.

Yes, you must use it. smiley - smiley

We have to turn around a 28,000 majority, but we're going to give it our best shot. I've delivered leaflets this week, and I may graduate onto knocking doors next week. I have to take a training session first!

Any tips on how to knock on a door gratefully received!

Just spent an hour in the town centre with the candidate, smiling and handing out leaflets. It's amusing watching the folks who want to avoid us, but don't notice us until it's too late. I only got two negative comments, though.

Pamphlets seem so quaint.

We have to abide over a year of multi-million dollar TV ad campaigns and 24 hour news networks salivating over every photo-op with paid pundits telling us what it all means.

Yes, we are quaint, now you come to mention it.

Maybe I can get the town crier to help.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

we had a nice/differnt bunch out 'canvising' here the other day.. not pushing any single party, just encouraging people to register to vote, who hadn't... something which I much approve of, and probably useful here, in a university town/city smiley - zen - lights still on, even at 1 AM, in the labour office building/party HQ over the road... which is scarey... - just think of all the leaflets they're printing off to stick through the doors here tomorrow smiley - groansmiley - erm - we've even got to the stage now where we've read some (most just say what I've read online anyhow....) smiley - ermsmiley - weird

The Wibble Party claims that the Apathy Party doesn't care enough.

The Apathy Party says that if it ain't broke don't fix it, but if the Wibbles get in, they'll break it in record time, so stay with Apathy.

The None of the Above Party claims that it's not a real party, but if it was, it would support worthy candidates from the past, who may be dead but would still be better than the Wibbles and Apathies.

Just had my first ever canvasser in the almost 35 years I've been in this house, supporting the incumbent (for the same number of years).
I'm afraid all she got from me was a look of horror.smiley - starsmiley - star
