Now I can't get "Donald where's yer troosers" out of my mind. I thought I'd forgotten that song 40 years ago.

You would use it in the singular to say "Let's go trouser shopping" or "I have lost my trouser button" or "There's a hole in my trouser pocket" or "I found a florin in my trouser turnup" or "Where are my trouser clips? or "Pass me that trouser hanger" or "Does my bum look big in this trouser suit? or "I don't like that trouser pattern".

smiley - snorksmiley - rofl I feel all trousered out at the moment smiley - flustered and... why don't trousers have velcro front-openings/flys on them? It'd make so much more sense... and... just think of all the time it'd save... smiley - zen

Actually, I prefer buttons to zippers, though the front flap system is then more complicated, less prone to failure.

Sometimes its easier to undo button flys, than zip ones, but it depends on how overly complicated the 'flaps' are, around/over the buttons etc, and how tight the person's trousers are in that area... I mean... really, they could be an aweful lot easier designed I think, afterall, I've had quite a lot of practise at undoing other peoples button and zip flys smiley - blushsmiley - snork hmm. I would say that sounds an aweful lot worse than it should, but, that would, really, just be a lie smiley - blushsmiley - snork Maybe kilts really ar ejust the way to go for men smiley - snork Well, either that, or just dresses and skirts in my case smiley - blushsmiley - rofl although.... having said which... I really love soem of these Indian style err, things, not sure what they're called now.... sort of tunic/shirt, that comes down, quite far (past knee, I think), and for males as much as females.... I just can't ever make my mind up, as to whether I could get away with wearing such in public, without looking odd... (more odd than useual anyhow), or, indeed, people believing I was taking the mic or something wearing I guess what you'd call a particular clothing associated with a differnt culture... smiley - alienfrown I like the way they're more or less androgenous, although the male/female ones do seem to differ in colours etc, and pattunrs they're as far as I can tell, basically exactly the same items of clothing, really smiley - blush

which reminds me.

We saw a gent, this afternoon, just as we were coming out of the shop, he was coming in.... wearing a caftan... and carrying a large, utterly unidentifiable vegetable of some description. Pity we didn't get a photo smiley - alienfrownsmiley - weird

Large vegetables are not that common. Pumpkins, squashes, watermelons, maybe the odd turnip. That about exhausts the possibilities.

It was something quite exotic... the shop in question, my little local open all hours, general shop/newsagents, seems to sell more on the somewhat exotic side, than ordinary mundane potatos, and suchlike... actually they've got more sweetpotato space on the veg bit, than for ordinary spuds smiley - alienfrown but this wasn't a sweetpotato smiley - alienfrown so no idea waht it was smiley - laughsmiley - alienfrownsmiley - corncobsmiley - alienfrownsmiley - porkpie
