OMG - have you seen the new Google Doodle?

google.de and google.at celebrate 40 years of the Yps magazine. The Thing you always wanted as a kid but hardly ever got because it was much more expensive than other magazines because of the Gadgets that came with it.
Every time you load Google it shows a different gadget from the history of Yps.

Okay, I give up.
How in the world do you play that game?
From the picture, it looks like you rub the space bar. Hitting the space bar takes me to the bottom of the screen, and I can't even see the little witch any more... I'm too dumb to play a game designed for the world's ten-year-olds.

You just tap the space bar. Every tap makes you jump upward a little. Repeated taps makes you continue upward. Not tapping lets you fall.
On mobile devices you tap the screen.

Today's doodle celebrates the 200th birthday of George Boole, creator of Boolean algebra. The values x and y appear in the upper and lower halves of the 'g'. The other letters are coloured according to Boolean algebra. I had to know about Boolean algebra years ago in college, so I was pleased to see this doodle.
Range: worldwide except USA and bits of Africa.

Just misread that as 'Agaton' Sax, fictional Swedish detective and editor of the Bykoping Post. Who is nowhere *near* being 201 years old.

Her name was mentioned in an article I was reading in Wired magazine (from a few months ago... I'm so behind on my magazine reading) this morning suggesting we really need to learn that there are other women in science than just Marie Curie (who's birthday was Saturday).
Here's the article if you're interested: http://www.wired.com/2015/04/women-in-sciene/

Today's doodle marks Beethoven's 245th birthday. It's an interactive doodle. Beethoven is trying to get to the concert hall, but various mishaps scramble his sheet music. You have to sort out his 5th Symphony, Für Elise and the 9th Symphony, among others.
This doodle's range is worldwide - and quite right too!
