Much to my surprise, on examining his IMDb page, I don't appear to have seen a Ken Russell film. I suppose that's the most unfortunate of reminders about a gap in my experience.

To be fair, you're not missing much with most of them - very odd films mostly and really quite dated.

I haven't seen it in yonks..but I loved 'Women in Love'. The wrestling scene between Oliver Reed and Alan Bates in front of that roaring fire is very tasty.
I got a real thing for Alan Bates after watching that film. It was the first time I was attracted to a man with a beard..
Still haven't seen the one based on Mahler which I want to see..but hopefully they might put a season on of his films.

Not seen Women in Lover to be fair.
The ones that do spring to mind are The Lair of the White Worm which is very odd indeed and features a young Amanda Donohoe (and possibly Helen Mirren) getting their clothes off and wearing what amount to strap-ons.
It also features music by Black Lace - go figure.
The other is a biopic of Tchaikovsky featuring Richard Chamberlain as the eponymous composer and Glenda Jackson - who goes mad and gets her kit off on a train for no apparent reason.
He was famous for people getting their kits off in films and that does seem to be a connecting feature of all films mentioned so far.

The naked wrestling...does kind of hang around in my mind.
Watched his 'Devils' based on Huxley's superb 'Devil's of Loudon' which I loved as a book..and didn't bother with much past the first 20 minutes.
At least he's a vaguely interesting person to die though, that we can discuss a bit.
(I love footie but I still can't think of anything to say much about Gary Speed..)
