Even I know out here on my far planet that Moffatt and Gatiss are busy with Doctor Who. Think yourselves lucky you can get even three Sherlocks! I have no BBC TV and no access to the i-Player.

i can see how to resolve the cliff hanger in propper cheesy style
all the dots were on holmes
start of next series(reprise and prequel before the credits)
holmes says something witty and most of the dots move over onto moriaty, his face gets a look of bewilderment and then he grins'touche'
and bolts for the door
cut to lestrade in the aftermath, ' he got away by BLAH, BLAH, BLAH,'
fade to credits

Holmes shoots the bomb. At the same time, Watson leaps and throws himself and Holmes into the pool. They escape the explosion by being underwater.

Apparently, Stephen Fry is to play Sherlock's brother Mycroft in the next Guy Richie film. Typecasting, in my opinion.

I guess they chose him because he is a well known intellectual figure who can pull of the posh well-to-do accent perfectly.
P.S. I love Stephen Fry and am quite happy for him to play the part.

Dang, you caught me. I havn't read the books yet. I have only ever seen it on the telly. Maybe I will change my mind on the subject once I have read the books?

Err, no. Probably not.
In the book Mycroft is even more cerebral than Sherlock, but has a very portly stature. Just thought it had Mr Fry written all over it. Not too far out of his comfort zone, acting-wise.

I've still not seen the first film (RDJ I mean, not the first first sherlock holmes film!) but was pleased to hear about Mr. Fry's casting. He could be wildly out of place, but he could be pretty awesome if he completely overwhelms RDJ and t'others

I don't think of Stephen Fry as an actor, really. He just plays himself. (Although I do realise that that is not as easy as it sounds)
