I keep wanting to start an Only Connect thread on here. Last time I did kea looked at me like I was asking her to translate the Rosetta Stone into Perl.

Victoria Coren always seems to me to be promisingly filthy.

One of my friends has a crush on Max from Eastenders. Not for his looks though, he's more interested in Max taking him down an alley and roughing him up a little. Dirty boy.
Talking of cartoon characters, I always loved the Disney Aladdin until I found out he was modelled on Tom Cruise

I thought this was about geeky crushes not just crushes...

Ooh the Buffy men...James Marsters , David Boreanaz and especially Anthony Head (I seem to have a thing for older men, don't know where that came from, it doesn't happen with the real men in my life).
I'd like to second (actually more like ninth, tenth?) prof Brian Cox.
This is fun. And a bit pervy. Doesn't get any better, does it?

I read somewhere recently that another series of Wonders of the Solar System is in production. (Half the contributors to this thread start hyperventilating).

"Victoria Coren always seems to me to be promisingly filthy."
There are so many reasons why that might be the best bit of prose I will ever run my corneas across in my life.

I believe the 'promisingly' is totally superfluous.
I only watcy 'Only Connect' to see her standing like a spare part in front of the Connecting Wall. The spare part that would make me whole...and a spare part with superb .
Depraved geekness.

Well, I've only ever heard Victoria Coren on the radio since I can't be bothered to watch TV. For all I knew she might be a dog. Hence "promisingly". She *sounds* as if she'd be filthy.

Well, she did once write a column for The Erotic Review. And she has written an excellent book about the attempts - in collaboration with her ex-flatmate - to produce the ultimate porn movie.
Sadly, I actually find the poker-playing and the geekiness more attractive.

Are us blokes allowed into this thread now then?
Alyson Hannigan Is there anyone who was in Buffy who someone here *doesn't* have a geeky crush on?
