What non-human creature should I be?

You see, I'm taking this Stage Makeup class, and I've got to come up with something for my face to imitate which isn't human. But I can't for the life of me think what to do, so I'm asking h2g2 for help. I did my face up like a tiger last time, if that gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Is there a fictional character you like? Do you have a favourite animal? If there is you could do something in line with that. I once abseiled for a charity face painted as a cat. I'd do it again.

Work with your features. Do you have a big nose? Very full lips? High cheekbones? Go with something that suits the natural appearance.

Could you stretch to insectoid? If just paint then some sort of fish could be fun, maybe a goldfish? Think of the scope for lovely highlighting etc!
