Surely, the 'crazy frog, suseptible' market must have just about reached saturation point? Can we hope* that when it does not only will the adverts cease but soon after it won't be so 'trendy[' to have the frog ring tone, so kids will move on to other ring tones? Or , are we to be fated by the seemingly inexaustible gulability and sillyness and stupidty of the 'cray frog ' buying population; only to find that the 'clever' bods at the 'crazy frog' marketing department, simply cope with 'crazy frog' saturation by bringing out a slightly* different version tha t gulable (and obviously too wealthy) buyers will then go out and replace the origional with? How many years could this go on? say forty or fifty differnt version of the ring tone? each with, say a three months lifespan before it looses its whatever it is that its got, and the kids need new one? hurry up with extraplannet habitations, no where seems far enough away

It's not just the frog. Today I've seen the frog, the frog remix, the chick, the chick and it's mate, the dragon and the bear.
Bearing in mind the variety of silly noises available to human hearing and the number of fauna on the planet earth (including the mythos, eg the dragon) means we've got millions of cominations. A (hopeful) three month lifespan for each tone means that hopefully the collapse of human civilisation will come about in my lifetime, lest my descendants suffer such irritation.

Why does this engender such strong feeling? Yes it's crap but so is loads of stuff. I don't understand the attraction either but it will go away eventually. Other crap stuff has. Remember the birdy song, Agadoo etc.
My phone has several ring tones built in and all of them seem to work fine to me. I didn't have to buy any of them as an add on. ( Although I do rather like that one that sounds like an old telephone ringing - I wouldn't pay for it though ).
Is life passing me by? Am I becoming a grumpy old man?

"Why does this engender such strong feeling?"
Because it's shown more frequently than any other television advertisement I've ever seen, often twice in the same break, so even if you change channels to avoid it, you change back 30 seconds later and *there it is again!*

There is a farting and belching frog on the satellite channel they have on in my gym so look out for that one on a screen near you soon
My li'l bro reckons he likes crazy frog (not enough to buy it mind) because he says it was created to wind people up and is doing a very good job of it....

It wasn't created to wind people up. It was created to make money out of gullibles who find farting and belching in public funny.

I've seen that on sattelite TV too, but more on the music channels.
I've also seen two versions of the bird one, three versions- maybe four of the frog, a bear and a dragon
It must be reaching saturation point soon- musnt it? I mean they cant think up anymore can they? Can they?
My problem is I like leaving Kerrang on while I'm about in the house and they play them, and when I flick they other channels do too
I never thought anything would rival Michael Winner for irritating me you know but......
