we have a general election today in the UK. Everyone apart from a few exceptions, the certifiably mad and those in prison, are entitled to vote. It's called democracy. Of course some who vote may not hardly be able to read or write, some maybe vote cos they happen to like the colour red blue or orange, All in all I think it's a pretty good system, and it's secret so no-one can sneer at you for choosing some kook half-baked mad candidate.
I think it beats the nasty snidy hootoo system hands down. But what do I know, as I've been invited to unsubscibe.
one love

<<Hello SIS what was that you were telling us about feeding trolls? )
I was referring to THE troll around here right now. I don't believe I have ever called Redpeck a troll, just that she often exhibits troll-like behaviour. . .

labelling me a troll or having troll like behaviour is mean nasty and shows how simplistic you can be Azahar. Anyone who has known me over the 18 months I've been on hootoo, knows I am a complex and contradictory person with a good .
If it makes you happy to label my behaviour troll-like so be it.
Hootoo bullying makes me puke

There are 35 new threads here since I read at lunchtime.
I can't believe this thread has become so active again. It was hard enough to keep up before. This time I'm not going to bother. I'll just content myself with raising my eyebrows when I see the sarcastic replies to "Della's" postings (that's what I notice, not her own postings but the replies to them) and think, "Oh, more of this then".
I'm going to unsub now cos if I don't I'll keep reading and I'd rather read other stuff.

Hmm. One thing has come up in the last coupla dozen posts which I think is very important, concerning az and blicky;
az, did you let him stay out all night or not?

Sorry couldn't face reading all the backlog. I wondered if good old della herself has ever dared post here! (waitng to be jumped on for not reading backlog.....
)

red, why exactly are you in this thread? It's only 2 hours since your last post - did you read the posts made since then? I made on reference to Della's posts in this thread a couple of posts ago. In fact her posts here were merely a reinforcement of how bizarre her behaviour is. She repeatedly posted saying how terrible it was that people were talking about her, then she would laugh, then she would say she was unsubscribing, only to turn up and do the same thing a few pages later. At no point did she attempt to address *any* of the issues that had been raised.
If you are referring to the backlog of the whole thread, then I'm also interested in why you are in this conversation. There has been alot of ground covered in this thread, and while I have some sympathy for not wanting to read long backlogs, I fail to see how jumping into a long thread with strong opinions, when you are unaware of the context, is actually useful.
From my perspective this thread has been about attempting to solve a community problem. Do you have something to contribute to that (or am I missing your contribution because of your smartarse style)?

I don't know what I'm doing here either except I know I have as much right as you to be here and I shall carry on with my oh so disparaged inferior intelligence to make posts and contributions and learn stuff cos I've got a hungry mind ...

I fail to see how you can "learn stuff" to feed your "hungry mind" if you are unwilling to read the backlog.
How are you acquiring this knowledge?

I'm not challenging your right to be here (although to my mind it's not so much a right that we have as a priviledge). I just wondered what you were doing.
If a thread is created to discuss an important matter on h2, and someone comes along 600 posts later with little interest in what has been discussed and starts to post in a style that is rhetorical and comes across as if the poster doesn't give a sh*t about anyone in the thread or the issues being discussed, then it's natural for the people who have put alot of time and energy into the thread to get pissed off and call them on it.
This is why your posts here come close to trolling (although like az I'm not at the point of calling you an outright troll*). I'm sure I'm not the only one that is looking for the point to what you are doing here, and in the absence of an explicit one your behaviour does look trolllike (posting to stir things up for the hell of it or for your onw enjoyment).
*it took me nearly a year to get to the point of naming Della as a troll. I don't think the term is bandied around that much. I think it's only recently that Della has been consistently called a troll, and it's not like she does it all the time. On the otherhand * seems to only troll which is why they got the label fairly early on. Personally I think most trolling is pretty obvious, and the accusation that labelling someone a troll is a way of shutting up those who we disagree with is a redherring.
It's interesting to me that you don't understand what a troll is (I've seen your Ask thread), and it probably explains why you don't understand what it is about your postings that are antagonistic. Or maybe you do and you just don't care?

good point witty moniker; I think it's a bit of a awkward hungry mind unfortunately,
that's what comes of being an artist. I work hard on my scuptures and I've got nothing left for backlog reading, which probably put's the backs up of more rational people.

Twice now you have mentioned being an artist. Wow, we are all quite impressed, I'm sure.

Well, you seem to have plenty of time to write rude and uninteresting posts that have nothing to do with the topic of the thread.
So if you're so darned busy being so darned artistic then why don't you just p*ss off already?

No - but he did anyhow.
And I was WORRIED SICK!
(But not half as worried as I would have been if he'd actually managed to get on the bus to Huelva - don't ask!)

It strikes me that those who do most complaining about the way they are treated are those who want h2g2 to fit round them, rather than the other way round.

I think bullying and meaness sucks! It's really easy to do especially when you've got a gang with you! I still think having a thread picking on one particular researcher like this stinks.
Viva hootoo humour and creativity.
