Yes, I'm in it. Just. There's a scene of panicking people filmed in London, and you can just see me disappearing off the edge of the frame.

That's me on the right in the Starship Titanic T-Shirt and the bum-bag.

It's a bit of a thrill. As is getting my name in the credits.

It's too bad we can't recognise that as a Starship Titanic T-shirt.
I did hear something very encouraging this weekend. The television spots have been airing in the states here for less than a week...
My 15 year old nephew upon seeing the trailer on tv commented to me "I can't wait to see that movie". He has never been exposed to any version of Hitchhikers'... he's just a kid that's looking forward to seeing a new movie. I then told him in no uncertain terms that I, personally, was looking forward to that same movie more than any I had looked forward to in my life, forget Star Wars, I've been anticipating The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy for over twenty years...
He stared at me for a few moments with his jaw dropped.
I'm just happy that it's appealing to kids his age who have only seen the television spots.

I think this movie will appeal to a large audience. It would be great if word of mouth keeps people coming to see it even when Star Wars III opens. It sounds like it will be a perfect couterpoint to SW, which is looking rather dark.

Someones review: "Excellent. A brilliant adaptation. Monty Python meets The Fifth Element. Slightly anit-climactic ending and no boat blowing up as seen in trailers, but otherwise a must see."
What do they mean, "Slightly anti-climactic ending"?

"no boat blowing up as seen in trailers"
They did get that was a joke, right? Like the girl in the bikini?
And I guess any ending if anti-climactic when the story starts with the destruction of Earth.
Key: Complain about this post

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
