Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Feb 10, 2005
Anybody up for a 'Valentines Day is Ace' moment? Us people in relationships need to stand up for ourselves.

Yes me, this will be the first time in years and years since I've done anything....although not actually sure what we will be doing. But I have a little surprise for Hoo

I'll be cooking a nice romantic dinner (well, as romantic as it's possible to be when we're in the middle of packing) and then we'll see how things progress from there . Oh, and I'm making Mrs. D's card this year... not sure about what present I'm going to buy though.

nice meal cooked at home, restaurants at this time are crowded and horrible, or take-out and I have a special bottle of vintage belgium beer on order and some trappist belgium cheese to finish.

No QAF?
We'll just have to start with synchronised rubbish disposal at 9:30pm, and watch whatever's on instead. I think it's something about a dysfunctional household; that'll do.

Well.....the ToyBoy rather sweetly met me at the station last night, and is taking me out to dinner tonight....

I put some rubbish in the bin at the scheduled hour, and felt a warm inner glow at the thought that, in various places, other people would be doing the same thing.

On account of having a very nice Valentine's day with Mrs. D I forgot to do the bins last night... luckily they're not stinky!

I was in a tutorial at 10.30am GMT but I asked my cleaner to empty my bin at exactly that time and she did, after giving me a very funny look

The trick is to return the look with one that says your request is perfectly normal and not noteworthy at all. It's a valuable skill - it gets me out of all sorts of strife.

Ahh the benefits of being serious and believeable
Yes, I also managed to put my rubbish out, feeling a little comforted with the Valentine's day/rubbish relationship and then watched that show on SBS...it wasn't QAF but it was alright

I just told my cleaner I had a very strange friend on the internet and he ordered me to have my bin emptied at that time. She seemed all right after that

That makes sense. Only weirdos and nutcases hang about on the internet, after all.
Of course, you could have just told her that the voices told you to do it. That has its uses, too.
