Right, I know next to nuthin' about football, so if asked to name 5 London clubs I'd go with:

Spurs

You're close Orcus.
The conversation we had while watching Burnley stuff the overpaid pillocks of the Kop was that I thought Charlton, Strange Little Girls team (if you hadn't guessed), were very much the 'forgotten' team of London.
The results of the very unscientific poll tend to show otherwise;
Tottingham Hotspur: 5
Chelsea: 5
West Ham: 5
Charlton: 5
Arsenal: 4
Crystal Palace: 4
Fulham: 3
Barnet: 2
Brentford: 2
QPR: 1
Leyton Orient: 1
Millwall: 1
Tottingham Hotspur Reserves: 1
Yeading: 1
Manchester United: 1 (Don't feel bad, Hel - try and see how many Aussie Rules teams this lot can mention )
Now aside from the statistical anomaly of Brentford getting 2 votes, and the fact that some people seem to think you might actually see some football being played at QPR, Orient and Millwall, it seems that I was incorrect, especially if their fame is sufficient that the antipodes know of them.

I think Watford is in Greater London isn't it? Also there's the Palace. Jumped when I saw Leighton Orient - has Alan bought them?

I'm reminded of the best title I've ever seen for a magazine article. Years ago, in Official Playstation Magazine, they ran a fascinating piece on all the interesting and idiosyncractic games that were available in Japan, but were not (yet) released in the West. These were games of great originality and sometimes whole new genres, just waiting to be unleashed on the European and American markets from the east. And the title of the article?
Latent Orient.

There's something utterly bizarre about Leyton Orient being used as a headline pun in a Playstation magazine!

I think Watford is *really* pushing it. It's outside the M25 is it not?
If you're going to count them then why not Luton Town or Southend?
(probably because although close, they're not, in fact in London )

I tell a lie Watford isn't outside the M25. I still think you're well on the dubious side of the eqation calling Watford part of London though.

Yes, if only because Wimbledon upped sticks and moved to Milton Keynes (now the MK Dons) a couple of years back.
Watford counts as greater London. You can get there on the Tube.

Watford is officially in Hertfordshire, not part of Greater London.

You are not too late ReddyFreddy.
AFC Wimbledon are alive and well down in the south of the capital. Who are these MK Dons tha Blue Shark speaks (types) of?
