Life's Little Victories...
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Sep 6, 2009
I must've been asleep at the time, I don't remeber that!
Now cleaving things in twain with a sword, on the other hand...

It's true - it was a source of much reassurance when visiting that there was also a shield on the premises.

Getting one of our favourite pitches with a sea view, worth getting up at 3am so we are at the right end of the queue, added bonus miss all the traffic

Went to see my friend (in order to do uni work for the start of the new academic year - blegh!), who lives in Birkdale, and accidently bought a return ticket to a station on the line called Ainsdale. I was confused! Anywho, there was no one on the train checking the tickets on the way there nor on the way back, so I got to go 2 stops there and 1 stop back (she gave me a lift) for free.
What? It is the LITTLE victories thread.

I'm wearing my sweatshirt with the maze pattern and the pacman socks to go with it!
Also, I wasn't the one stuck under the cat when the DVD ended

Neither was I!
Not-so-little victory: had a doctor's appointment to check if my cancer has come back yet. It hasn't!

That's fantastic, Yarreau!
I defused a row with the potential to run for three hours with a stupid remark*, so someone's now making me coffee instead of arguing.
*It's something I can't help doing - one in thirty-three times it even works...

many congratumulations!
I managed to sort my head out, however temporarily, by deciding to throw a bit of caution to the wind and do something almost crazy. I'm far too sensible for my own good normally and am looking forward to being footloose and fancy free for, ooh, 24 hrs at least As soon as I'd decided, I felt better

Not crashing the car on the way to a meeting for work when it would be so easy to do just to make it all stop.
Not shouting at the boss to leave me the f**k alone.
Not resigning...

I'm sorry - I didn't understand what you meant, Appolonia.
A fairly big victory to report - after a horrific accident, and then being in a coma, and then months and months of physio, my best mate (and fellow researcher) Turlough's Terrier has taken her first couple of steps without a crutch.
(And I think she's Fing amazing. )
