Bread and dripping...
Anyone else old enough to remember that?

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, I cut a vegetable stock cube, such as you might use to season soups in stews, in lieu of homemade vegetable stock, and which is basically green salt, into four parts. Then i eat one.
Even less often, I will have another quarter, leaving just half a stock cube for the next meal.

Oooh I used to nibble on Oxo cubes as well! Glad I'm not alone there.
I have many many philistinic leanings when it comes to food - I love good food, but if Starbucks is the only place that's open on a cold and rainy Sunday morning then I'm happy to go there rather than go without.
Processed cheese slice draped over a rice cake (I know, plastic on a ceiling tile)
Burger King's chips

Just bought a giant pack of cheesy quavers. The yellow colour of the quavers packets is just sooooo cheesy.

Talking of super noodles (yes, I remember them) does anybody still eat pot noodles?

I still eat Pot Noodles, to the disgust of basically everyone I know.

This thread reminded me of chocolate sandwiches warmed up so the goes melty, and I am being forced (by myself) to eat one right now.
But it's on wholegrain rye bread, so it's practically a health food

Yup - I still eat Pot Noodles. Chicken & Mushroom - though why the hell do they put sweetcorn in?
I used to enjoy eating "raw" jelly. You know, the little slabs that you break up to put in boiling water? I skipped the boiling water part & went straight to tastebud nirvana.

Super noodles - comfort food. (it's just noodles with a salty sachet of flavouring! SO good when you hate yourself for an hour!)
Pot noodle - 'you obviously need comfort' food. (strips of cardboard with weird dessicated excuses for vegetables. Up there with vending machine soup in the yuk chart for me!)

What's wrong with Craft dinners? That link just went to a JPEG image of the box
I thought it would be a blow-by-blow account of the ingredients...?
I too like them when i'm in hurry- the odd chemical taste doesn't go with many other foods however, so a packet is usually eaten in solitude.

Cheese 'soup' - basically grated crumbly cheese, Wendsleydale or Lancashire is best, place in an oven proof lid (from a glass casserole) pour over some milk, grill until melted and brown on top. Eat with lashings of dry white sliced bread.

bread and dripping is a treat for when I'm at my mum's. A doorstop of (white) bread, liberally sprinkled with Henderson's relish and then Lily's beef dripping (with lots of jelly) and salt
that's it, then for the day!

Unless you have a heart attack on the spot, then just 'that's it'.
Fried cheese ... mmmm. Melt thick slices of sharp cheddar in a cast iron or non-stick pan (until it goes a bit crispy on the edges) as spoon over hot buttered toast.
