The problem with that petition is tens of thousands of signatures are from foreign countries and there's nothing to stop people signing again and again, or to set up a 'bot to sign automatically.

In theory, all signatories must be British, or UK residents at the very least.
Another problem is that most of the signatories come from areas where the majority voted Remain. Maybe there will be another petition suggesting the matter should be decided on a 'best of three's basis.

Saw a graphic on another site that detailed where the signatures were coming from by constituency and by country. About 10% from abroad.

People signing from abroad may still be British - ex-pats, people on holiday or on business trips. Abroad doesn't equal foreign. As long as they have the right to vote in the UK, their signatures are valid, IMO

Interesting numbers. If you remove Vatican and North Korea, it could be representative in term of numbers of British citizens.

Just as a matter of interest, when bob posted the link to the petition, I tried it out. I was asked if I was a British expat (I am) and to state where I lived (which I did, although I have no way of proving either in that situation, of course).
On trying to sign the petition, I got the message that the site was "down for maintenance" - i.e. had crashed, which didn't surprise me. Not really expecting any success, I tried again and was informed that I had already signed the petition (whoops). So there was some regulation going on. Whatever. It was a lost cause, anyway.

is one of the better petitions ive seen though link might not work as they stopped new signature after only five had signed,,

ITIWBS Posted Jun 27, 2016
South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands had a population of only 30 in 2006.
Someone is deliberately trying to foul up the petition effort.

Isn't all energy ultimately solar energy?

Baron Grim Posted Jun 29, 2016
Ultimately? Yeah, probably.
That reminds me of a thought game I played with a coworker a long time ago. He challenged me to think of a form of death that couldn't ultimately be described as "lack of oxygen to the brain". It's tougher than you might think.

Yep... Explosive distribution and instantaneous complete cellular death was my best answer as well.

Baron Grim Posted Jun 29, 2016
Nope... being pummeled to death will ultimately result (and may have originated) in lack of oxygen to the brain.
