It seems some of the Libyan rebels enjoy a bit of Jew-baiting. Bet we don't see that picture on the BBC News.<<
Leave out the dedication. If you want to tell me what's on your mind please do.

That last comment is for the member known as SWL who dedicated his
post concerning Jew-baiting Libyan rebels to me.

If you think a news item is interesting for this forum then post it.
What I don't understand is why you would think that a particular
photograph which you label as showing Jew Baiting Libyan rebels
should be of particular interest to me rather than of general
interest to the community and why you would wish to associate
myself with it?

You're the one that's been obsessing about Libya for months, turning that other thread into a "What news story (preferably anti NATO) has caught your attention today?" thread. Realising that just another story putting the rebels in a bad light would just get lost amidst the diatribe that has bored so many people, I posted that link here but marked it for your attention because it would be interesting to see your response.
And it has been interesting.

If you are making a response to posts on another thread it should
be posted on that other thread so that it can be discussed in the
appropriate place. However you wish to discuss it here. Fine -
although I am not sure others might agree.
Now to ensure I have understood the meat of your comment would the
following interpretation be correct:
A) You view here the events in Libya as "my obsession" rather than
as a topic independent from me.
B) You label those posts on the other thread as anti-NATO and stories
"putting the rebels in a bad light".
C) That those posts represent a "diatribe".
D) That "many people" are "bored" with it.

if the researcher would read the house rules it would understand that
there are more ways to get censored than just libel.
We are trying to keep a clean family friendly forum here and material that is racist or pornographic will be removed (even if it is true)

I'm interested in Libya stories.
I'm not bored.
But it would have been nice to have.some context for tube picture -- it. could have been from a protest in many parts of the world, not just of a group of rebels.

Shagbark
Oh the sheer irony of someone with the word Shag in their name...
Also, this forum is for people over 16years old and if they really don;t get the term I used or what I meant then they really have led a sheltered life.
There is family friendly and there is being bland dull, inoffensive and beige...none of which htis site has ever been or will be.
If ever this becomes a 'clean family friendly forum in the way I think you mean I'll leave...we are family friendly...what we aren;t is pc and muted...

SWL: I'll be away and incommunicado for about a week returning back
at the start of September, so I'll pick it up again then. Hopefully
by then peace will have broken out in Libya and fears of a slow
implosion do not materialise. However the point of our discussion is
on the perceived diatribe etc of the near past as you have expressed
following on from your "Jew baiting Libyan rebel" post.
It would have been so much easier if you had expressed your
sentiments earlier rather than having allowed this "diatribe" to go
on for 6 months. I know that the honourable Orcus shares your
sentiments as perhaps do the esteemed hootoo members known as The
RevJackruss, nortirascal(?) and airscotia(?) [apologies in advance
if I have misrepresented your views]. I'm sure there were a few
others that were bored to near death(?) by my contributions.
+ +
If indeed there is a significant number of the community (and not
necessarily a majority) that share in your sentiments then perhaps
after our discussion (to get to the key points of differences) I
will accept my fate and with stoicism walk the plank off the good
ship Hootoo. ______ ~~~~~~
However I do realise that the good ship Hootoo may itself sink slowly
towards and into the abyss of the BBC whirlpool of austerity, so
perhaps there may be many others following closely behind. Although
you and they will undoubtedly have access to the hootoo lifeboats
and head your merry ways towards the palm fringed golden shores of
the Isle of Noohootoo.
So I bid thee anon and until next week.
to be contd ... bookmarked at post 12107
