Health and Safety gone mad, reflections of an idiot mass society or a
crafty ruse for free advertising? - An Aircraft Company puts "weep

Seeing Jennifer Anniston in that story reminds me;
They're filming World War Z in Glasgow this week, a zombie film starring Brad Pitt (they wanted a city that looked like a bomb-site full of zombie-like locals. Glasgow was ideal). On Monday about a dozen people wearing "Anniston Appreciation Society" t-shirts showed up on the set to boo and heckle Pitt Unfortunately, he wasn't due on set until Wednesday - I wonder if they went back?

Those people really do need to get over it: how long ago did Aniston and Pitt split up?
I always find it a bit strange when you recognise the settings of films - saw Captain America last week and recognised the bits of Liverpool and Manchester they were filming it. It was especially strange to think those places had been the scenes of riots just hours before.

I think Dundee has doubled as Moscow a few times. The Caird Hall is positively Soviet-looking.
As it is normally -

Those zombies in Parliament have been there for centuries. But the populace are waking up to them.

And, to tie a number of stories together . . .
parts of 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' starring Brad Pitt were filmed right here in my town, Edmonton (well, I'm not there now, I'm in Hope, British Columbia [where Rambo was filmed if I remember correctly], but . . .). Edmonton was filling in for some place in Missouri or something (Hope was pretending to be some nameless U.S. city).

My local woods can claim Gladiator (2000), Band of Brothers (2001), The Golden Compass (2007), Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince (2009), Robin Hood (2010), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2 (2010/2011), and many more.
It's odd watching a movie and thinking "I've seen that tree before".
