h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well I just went and had a look, I wouldn't exactly* say that the internet is broken per sai, though I did find a worringly large amount of crakcs and a couple of splits in it that really oughta be sewn up. Anyone knows whose responsibility repairing the internet is?

"I'm going on a business trip and won't have access to the network in the taxi. Can you download internet on my laptop please?"

I think it is available for download to a Dalek, but possibly not your laptop. Is your laptop about 5' 6" and knobbly?

I always thought that the Internet should transcend barriers ... but I can not go to the Spooks website and take part in the interactive stuff there, because I live in Germany and have a WinXP version in German ... which is a little confusing ... I did write to them but only got a limited answer to my problem!!

I think they do that deliberately to avoid copyright issues.

I think whoever runs the internet had a problem and went back to IT helpdesk basics...

They turned it off and then turned it back on again.

Actually I've a bit of a confession, I was tidying up earlier and I found a few bits of the internet discarded in one corner of the room, no idea how long they'd been there but they looked pretty dusty....
I'll try and glue them back on to the rest o fthe internet when I get around tuit....
