Beware of imitations. I went to a "Theremin workshop" and ended up with a bit of plastic that sounded more like a stylophone. I want a proper theremin.

The banjo and drums on this version are superb:

The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain - they create an amazing sound and play such a range of music. When I saw them they went from Wheatus to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Django. They have also done a cover of Kiss's 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You'.
Smells Like..

And the most mind-boggling erm...collage of tunes all played at once:

The guy who sings on the next one plays the smallest Banjo...it's a Gibson and worth over £3,000...gulp.
This one's for Peely...we still miss you!

Canon in D - great version. TAB available for it and worth downloading:

And someone with a serious problem with it. Having seen it played live last year I can see what he means...the bass part sucks.

It's still OK with sound down.
Of course, for Roymondo...might be a total non-starter...I have seen John Barrowman doing any AC/DC yet so just hang on maybe.
Unbelievable...just searched for Barrowman and AC/DC on Youtube and I get this...there you go Roy.

I'm still loving the Dixie. Saw 'em a couple of years back, hadn't heard of them, spent a minute thinking 'WTF? I recognise that!' before the vocal started on a bluegrass War Pigs.
Absolute class.

Wow, why can't we get Hungarian Idol over here Magdolna Ruzsa is incredible. Aerosmith, Rocky Horror, Queen. And the judges look much cooler than the arseholes on X-Factor.

Tonight on Horizon (BBC2 9pm) physicist, FRS and former Cern employee Dr Brian Cox will be investigating the ongoing mysteries of the gravitational force. How? Why? Etc.
Here he is though, playing keyboards in the nasty 90s pop band that gave New Labour a dubious call to arms. And they call scientists rational.

Sadly, I recently rediscovered my old Top Of The Pops albums of anonymous (and largely pointless) cover versions. Their version of the Specials' "Ghost Town" is particularly bad. It's probably not on YouTube though...
