Who wants to give/receive a Gmail invite?

The one flaw I find in gmail is the inability to open more than one window on the site. None of the usual right click features work and you can't keep one page open to check another.

And if you want to open another URL, to pick up a quote or a phone number or facts and figures or somesuch from another source, the browser dumps gmail if it was the first website opened - which, being 'mail', it usually is.

Must retrain myself to open Yahoo or h2g2 first and get a few windows open before checking gmail. But that is problematical since I usually get immediately caught up in conversations and forget to check the mail.

I've lost several drafts when I went searching for references on other pages. As a result I tend to forego trying to copy and paste things into 'gmail' letters.

But I will try your 'contact' method next time. First I better start saving and importing addies so I have a contact list.

Old habits die hard, I used to just right click 'reply' to everything. Even when creating a new mail I 'reply' to an old one previously rec'd figuring that's the safest and quickest way to reach someone. Can't do that in gmail.

smiley - laugh I love the theories people come up with as to why cmpanies do what they do... I suppose I shall just have to make sure not to email any robbery plans or other condemming material!

As to having more than one window open with Gmail; I have never had any problems, Just open a new window and type the www.gmail.com it takes you to your inbox and you can search there to find your references.
