"Hold on to me now, you know I can't stay long"
"All I wanted to say was I love you and I'm not afraid"
from Evanscence's My Immortal, one of the most heartbreaking songs I've ever heard

Anything by Evanescence breaks my heart.
Ignore me I just have a need for a certain amount of controversy.

"I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour,
but heaven knows I'm miserable now."
The Smiths.
That's the best I have come up with so far, although I indentify more strongly with the second two lines of that particular song;
"I was looking for a job and then I found a job,
and heaven knows I'm miserable now."
(Thank God it's Friday!!!!)

I remember you well in the Chelsea Hotel, you were talking so brave and so sweet.
Giving me head on the unmade bed, while the limousines wait in the street.

Let me take your hands
I'm shaking like milk...
'Let's Go To Bed' by The Cure
When I first heard it I thought it was "Let me take your hand and shake it like milk..."

Iago,
I was turned on to Evanescence by Jordan, who posted some links whereby I could hear some of their songs. Very special and a beautiful voice. Can't say I'm totally a fan but I did like what I heard.

"HEY, HEY, bad news..."
"FK OFF bad news."
- By 'The young ones' so I was told.
It was a tape often played by a former collegue, as a comment on clients at a place I once wo*ked. When one lot of clients left, and set-up for the next was in action. Not exactly a Radio 4 jingle I know.
If anybody knows where I may obtain this track, (any media) please let me know, it will be my *gift* to the neigbours, when they start playing their at all hours.

It's not exactly 'The Young Ones', but rather the 'Comic Strip' - many of the same people. The 'Comic Strip' did a couple of TV shows about a spoof heavy rock band called 'Bad News' and the album was released as 'Bad News'. The track you have (which is in the film) was recorded live at Knebworth (I think - some large rock festival anyway).
This is a while back - mid 80s? - I've got it on audio tape. It may still be available.

Now it comes back to me, the entire 'Bad News' rock band spoof.
The comic strip presents, yes they did spoof on the famous five and the like, a long time before 'Bottom' eh?
Yes, mid to late, 80's. 1988 to be exact, when I first 'herd' the song, so its stuck with me for 16 years. Not good.
Mind you I still remember words to some songs from back in 1973.
Whats that song, starts with a lot of groaning then goes "yes sir, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long." .... "if you sing a certain song" Arrrrg!

You can call me TC Posted Apr 25, 2004
It's called "Yes Sir I can boogie" and was sung by a Spanish duo called Baccara.
