OH good grief.
I know many people don't remember the 60s but we'll indulge in some quick remedial learning. Repeat after me.
PLATE TECTONICS.

anhaga Posted Oct 14, 2008
Plate tectonics are caused by disobedience, ultimately, I'm sure. I think this comes down to the whole idea that before the fall everything was peachy, dinosaurs ate coconuts, and no one had a navel.
But to go back a bit, what's this about the third temple being built? Has someone told the Muslims? What kind of rot is this?

>Israel is surrounded by enemies<
Hardly surprising quiet frankly.
I read a very interesting book a while back
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-War-Civilisation-Conquest-Middle/dp/1841150088/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224022471&sr=8-1
I recommend it to you.
I've rarely read anything so utterly depressing.
There is evil on both sides in that conflict. but since both sides, nations and peoples lay claim to that holy patch of desert and both find justification in their religion it is a land property dispute with all the nasty intractableness of a religious war. Add into that toxic mix the quiet despicable policies of suppression that Israel has practised with premeditated settlements, frankly racist and thoroughly prejudiced planning laws and aggressive actions such as the flattening Lebanon being just a few examples and I think the enmity of Israel's enemy's is quiet explicable.
There is on the other hand no excuse for the indiscriminate murder of civilians in terrorists attacks targeting Israelis, the constant reign of rockets and other murders.
There is nothing about that situation that convinces me that God is real or the bible is true, and absolutely everything about it that demonstrates to me just how poisonous religion can be.
It beggars belief frankly that you think Israel is a totem for anything other than all that is wrong with religion and why we would all be so much better off without it's benign influence.

Seriously, KZWG wrote 'the third temple is being built'. I really, really want to know what he meant by that. If the rest of the stuff he's been posting isn't enough, that single statement clearly shows that he's living in a different world from the rest of the people on this planet.

But Josepsh kept them behind a blanket with himself while the transcribers sat on the otherside they didn't actually see the plates.
Also, lets see if KZWG actually has anything to say about my comments or will they just be ignored as they are too specific to fob off in a one liner reply.

Chances are there's a zany youtube video posted by some lunatic that KZWG will deem an appropriate and meaningful response

So the third temple is not going to be built?

Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Oct 14, 2008
Who in Bob's name knows?
Also note the shift of emphasis in KZWGs grammatical tense:
from
Is being built (present tense)
to
Going to be built (future perfect)

actually, 3 dots, the story goes that the plates were actually seen and handled by a number of people:

I offer this only that you have as much information as possible.
Now I'm off to watch the tense-shifting youtube bit.

Apocalypticism -- http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/apocalypse/explanation/jerusalem.html
"In the early nineties, the movement led by Gershon Solomon had prepared a cornerstone. They literally brought it in on a pickup truck, and were going to wheel it up and try to take it up to the Temple Mount, and at least symbolically lay the cornerstone of the Temple. I don't know that they even thought that they would really succeed, but they wanted to make this move.
The Muslims up around the Dome and the Mosque got word of that the Jews are coming and they plan to lay the cornerstone of the Temple, and complete chaos broke out. Rocks were thrown down, bricks, large stones on the Jewish people praying down below at the western wall. The police reacted to that by sending up Israeli troops to try to quell the rioting. People were running about and screaming and yelling, and several people were shot and even killed, simply over the rumor that something like this might happen. ... Every year since the early 1990s, Gershon Solomon and his Temple Mount Faithful followers have attempted to march up onto the Temple Mount and pray, and if possible, even to bring a cornerstone that they prepared, a huge rock that's cut, to lay the foundation of the Third Temple. And each year, they get stopped and they're turned away. And they simply try again the next year. They have tremendous Christian support among those interpreters of the Book of Revelation that in fact some day believe that such a temple will be built. So maybe this is what God is going to use. Here are some Jews who want to build it. Here's the text that says it will be built. It has to be built in order for Jesus to return. All of these things have to be fulfilled. So their understanding is: Who's to say who will actually play a part in bringing about this inevitable scenario of events that will usher in the end?"
As I said....

>for a society that recognized its inherent sickness and sought a cure!<
Which society might that be then mikey? There are quite a few eg those in the Amazonian rainforest, now given protection from interference from meddling Christian missionaries that caused nothing but cultural murder and physical diseases, for which they had no immunity against.
Please try to be specific about which society you are referring to old chap, on a thread based on fact and reason.
