realism...instead of sticking to one extreme of the avoiding scale!

That's a huge and highly subjective question.
I can only say I saw an interesting marquee sign outside a church this morning which I would not have seen had I died in my sleep last night.
It made the day worth living.

And as with most put-it-together-yourself things...there'll be a screw loose. There's always a screw loose when it comes to gods.

Doesn't Ikea do a kitchen unit called 'Ahura Mazda'? Probably.

>>If there is a god and he has infinite wisdom then why doesn't he share any with his believers?<<
Yes, God is One and has infinite wisdom.
[Not an infinite number of 'faces' or 'parts']
If God has an 'only begotten Son', does that not mean He also has a wife? In which case, why doesn't He have more children?
Almighty God DOES share His Wisdom with mankind, yet mankind often refuse it
Peace

So why doesn't he make his message so strong, so compelling, that it cannot be denied? Why does he leave any doubt in the matter?
Why did he write in such an obscure and debatable language, instead of the much more widely-understood Syriac?
I'm sorry warner, but you don't have a very compelling argument there.

If God the Father and God the Son are one and the same person, how could the mother and the son not be incestuous?

Ikea furniture is the only thing I have faith in...I have faith everything will be in there that I need. I learnt not to trust flat pack stuff when buying from the false furniture god: DFS.

I've always thought of IKEA as a bit of a mothergoddess earthy sort since a friend pointed out it's a bit like encountering a body when you visit their shop. You enter the mouth, go round and round the many convolutions of the digestive system, tempting you with all manner of wonders to absorb, and then get shitted out the other end, after you've paid.
In my local branch you can sample luverly Swedish meat balls just inside the beginning bit.

I like their fizzy lingonberry. I was quite amused when I encountered *exactly* the same dispenser in a Thai canteen I was taken to lunch at in Gothenburg.
Apparently the Swedish furniture names are quite amusing.

(I have a John Peel by the same guy. There's an interesting story about that involving a Ghanaian Scot I played pool with in Copenhagen...but Frs will sneer at me if I tell it, )

It was quite funny.
The conversation went:
'I like your T-shirt.'
'Thanks...Don't suppose you know who it is, do you?'
''Course I do! My dad used to send us back tapes of all his reggae back from England.'
'Cool!'
'By the way...are you Scottish?'
'Well, English by birth. But it's good of you notice the accent.'
'Well I should do. I stay* in Gorgie**.'
Of course, we were verrr, verrr...well...not *drunk*, exactly....
*Helluva* night out!
* In Scotland, we'd say 'I stay...' where the English woukd say 'I live...'. Unlike in English, it doesn't imply short-term residency.

Effers, you forgot one more thing about the journey through Ikea...you always get lost at one point with all the alternative paths before you find yourself.

In the IKEA I have been visiting for the past two weeks there was only a single path. Unless you count the 'short cuts' (labelled as such, and only one per floor).
