Boxing Baboon,
> so we know whos dont it? give me their email address now .i want a word with the swine
Impossible, as "The teenager's identity has not been released" - from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3695857.stm
> + ive never gave anybody a virus .now shush we know its u init ?
Of course it wasn't me. I wouldn't even dream of causing such damage to a computer. The infection method is described in detail on Symantec's site [http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.b.worm.html] - vulnerable computers are randomly targeted and infected by infected computers, operating automatically without even the necessary KNOWLEDGE of the computer owner that this is happening. Therefore, it is not only possible but probable that your *computer* infected other computers before you removed the worm. Note that it was not *you* who did this, but your *computer*. Similarly, your computer was infected not by a person with malicious intent, but by another person's infected computer.
Incidentally, the probability that you were randomly infected by my computer is zero, as my computer was of course not infected, as I had taken suitable measures to protect my computer against such threats before the Sasser worm had even been created.

They have released his info :
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/05/10/wsass10.xml&sSheet=/news/2004/05/10/ixnewstop.html
But if you got infected, it was your own fault. You should patch your computer as soon as possible (unless you get infected before the patches were available, of course).

Reminds me of the flurry of excitement for the first few years when personalised license plates came out. They even had a game show about it for a season. Eventually the novelty died a merciful death.

Personalised licence plates, who would have such a thing?
What is a worry, when somebody puts one of *them* stickers on the windscreen....
